My license expired eight years ago but I used to be a vehicle owner here. So as a permitted driver, the basics were muscle memory - but - I needed a car to practice parallel parking, right of way at stop sign intersections and 3 pt.turns (the 'SJDS' "Brooklyn U-Turn") before feeling confident in taking the road test. After my first lesson with Harry I was slightly worried about being in a car alone with a male - which COMPLETELY melted away in the first five seconds. Harry is super professional but not dry, he made it fun. Gave me some crucial pointers that helped me pass my exam. He has a natural intuition for anticipating drivers' instincts, teaching in a way best suited for the individual, knowing when to converse, joke, ask questions, etc. It felt like we were old friends by the end of it. Will 100% be requesting him for a highway lesson to get my long distance game back on point now that I'm licensed. RAQUEL! She is like the mother ship. Always remembers people's names & makes the space warm and welcoming. Raquel went the extra mile to help me reschedule my road test and lessons when I had an injury. I was incredibly nervous on the day of my road test knowing Harry couldn't be there - so being in Raquel's group felt like a gift from the Gods. BTW, Raquel is an excellent driver. Snagged some of her moves for my test & I crushed it (her pep talk didn't hurt, either). There is no recommendation great enough for this crew. They are honest, informed af, compassionate and kind.

I had an amazing experience with San Juan and couldn’t be more grateful for the help they gave me in passing my road test. I had been assigned with instructor Marcelo, and he was patient, and incredibly supportive throughout the entire process. I recommend taking two back-to-back 45 min classes if given the opportunity, thats where I was able to retain the most information. Other than that, in ever class I took they broke everything down clearly, helped me build confidence behind the wheel, and made sure I was fully prepared for test day. I highly recommend San Juan to anyone looking for quality instruction and real results.

My experience with San Juan Driving School, I felt very comfortable thanks to the patience and professionalism of my instructor Marcelo. Me. They explained each step very clearly, they focused on creating confidence behind the wheel and always maintained a safe and relaxed environment. The classes were punctual, well organized and really adapted to my level. I learned not only to drive, but also to understand traffic rules and make responsible decisions on the road. Furthermore, the process to prepare for the exam was very complete and thanks to it I passed without any problems. I fully recommend this driving school to anyone who wants to learn how to drive safely and responsibly.

I cannot recommend San Juan Driving School in Bushwick enough! From start to finish, my experience here was nothing short of amazing. The staff is incredibly welcoming, professional, and genuinely cares about helping their students succeed. Scheduling lessons was super easy and flexible, and they worked around my availability with no problem. My instructor was patient, clear, and encouraging, which made me feel comfortable and confident behind the wheel—even as a beginner. They explained everything in a way that was easy to understand and gave me tips that I know will stay with me long after getting my license. I never once felt rushed; instead, I always felt supported and motivated to improve. What really sets San Juan apart is the positive energy.
