Lorraine Lyman is an astounding mentor, counselor, and individual to work with. She dedicates so much time to you and personalizes her work ethic to help you succeed and work towards your goals. I've worked with Ms. Lyman since 2019. Since then, she has taken the time to understand my deepest aspirations, offer invaluable, constructive advice on achieving them, identify my strengths and weaknesses, and develop strategies for personal growth. And overall, she is a trusted friend and confidante who has helped me navigate life's challenges and emerge more resilient. We were very fortunate to have come across Savvy Success Unlimited while looking for guidance with college applications for our son. Lorraine came with a very well structured approach for the whole process. Her help in sifting through the list of colleges to apply, was methodical and well researched. She provided lots of tips and most importantly, just the right level of guidance to ensure that each of the essays was the student’s original writing but finessed at the right spots to give it that edge. I am so glad that we had her help. I believe it played a big role in our son getting a very large number of acceptances across the entire spectrum of colleges where he had applied. We were grateful to have Lorraine's advice and expertise to help us navigate through the college application process. She assisted in all areas from start to finish: college searches, set timelines, major/minor explorations, ACT/SAT prep, essay rewrites, etc. Lorraine is knowledgeable, professional and truly skilled. My daughter was offered a full ride athletic scholarship to a Division 1 University that also had high academic standards. Due to my daughter's time constraints we needed a tutor that could come to our home on days/ hours available and were extremely fortunate to have found Lorraine of Savvy Success. Lorraine evaluated my daughter's academic strength's and weaknesses and determined she would be better off taking the ACT rather than the SAT. Once that was decided Lorraine have my daughter practice ACT exams and then worked with her on her weaker areas. This resulted in my daughter improving her test score by 2 points and above the average of those accepted at the university she was offered the scholarship to. Lorraine also helped my daughter to determine what might be a good major for her to pursue. I should also note that Lorraine was timely for her appointments and would call if any delay due to traffic. Lorraine is much more than a tutor as she is also a mentor. I am a retired US Navy Officer and Attorney and I give my higher recommendation to Lorraine and Savvy Success.
