Nice marina, generally clean and the staff is friendly. Love spending the weekend on my boat just killing time without much stress at all. In a pinch it’s great to be able to order some food from the restaurant and get last minute needs in the small store. Would be great if the store and restaurant were open a bit longer every day but with other than the peak hours would eat into profits and some availability is better than none. Have yet to rent a boat or the newish floating cabins but one day will at least check them out. Overall it’s a great place to get out of the city without having to travel very far at all.

We had a little bit of a rough start with the first two days of our cabin rental. Every business experiences things beyond their control from time to time. And this was the time, the first two days of my stay. However, the meat of any review needs to be how the inconvenience or problem was addressed. The management team at Scorpion Bay, specifically Kyla, went above and beyond to make things right for me without me having to ask for it or get upset about it. Kyla knew there was a problem, told me about it as I arrived and told me what they were doing, not only to fix the problem but to make amends for my inconvenience. Five out of five stars! 10 out of 10 stars! Top grades for doing what she obviously does for every customer without forcing the customer to be the bad guy. The view from the porch lounge was wonderful, the cabin was very clean and in good shape and the staff was friendly. I am an older woman, and I was here by myself with my 10 pound dog. I Always felt safe and welcomed. I am highly recommending Scorpion Bay Floating Cabins to friends and family and anybody that will listen to me talk about my wonderful vacation.😁

11/7/2025 Great way to spend a Friday with family in from out of town. The weather from 8 am to 12 pm was perfect and not many boaters were on the lake. Thanks Scorpion Bay Marina for a memorable family experience.

Good marina, friendly staff and decent boat rental prices. Parking is interesting, you have the option of taking a cable car down to the docks from the parking lot. The lake is clean too. I would visit again

Floating cabins are a truly unique and amazing experience for the family. We’ve stayed in both the two and one bedroom with kids and brought our boat. Best things about both: *The view, the porch *Being next to your boat makes multiple outings a day easy. No need to pack an entire day of food when we go out on the lake. *The customer service is outstanding. Joe and Kyla took care of everything we needed. Some things that could be better: * In the one bed cabin, the pull out couch was too uncomfortable for anyone but the 6 year old. Needs updating. We ended up pulling in the outdoor couch cushions to sleep on the floor. * black tank odor - after the first few days you can smell all the cabins tanks when the breeze blows right. It seems they aren’t adding any treatment to the tanks like you would in a RV.
