After plenty of research and meeting with a couple of different trainers, we couldn’t be happier that we found Christine. Our pup absolutely adores her!!! Christine worked with our 8‑month‑old Husky/Shepherd mix through three half‑day sessions followed by a five‑day board‑and‑train stay. She created a personalized training plan just for us and provided fantastic resources to help us continue the work at home, including written guides and her own training videos for reference. She took such great care of our girl throughout the week. We’ll definitely continue working with Christine for future training and boarding. Highly recommend!
We had a wonderful experience with the board and train program for our puppy Noodles. Christine is amazing to work with she is so knowledgeable and clearly passionate about what she does. She worked on essential skills that we needed help with, like crate time, leash walking, mat training and much more. I can say that our puppy made a lot of progress during her stay. Christine provided us with tools and videos to continue the work at home. It was clear that our puppy adores her and had so much fun with her. We will be returning to continue training Noodles. We highly recommend Christine!
Christine is helping our sweet 7mo old doodle get over social fear (of humans, dogs, and other scary things) and leash reactivity. Over the last month-ish with Christine’s careful guidance and tips we can carry out at home, we've been so happy to see our pup develop confidence that we never could have achieved in such a short time - if ever - on our own or with other trainers. We are not first time doodle owners so we thought raising this one would also be a cakewalk, but as with kids, each dog is unique with their own personality. This one confused us, she was so sweet and comfortable at home but she’d bark, run away, freeze, or tremble in fear at the littlest things outside - people walking down the street, strangers trying to give her a treat, dogs walking nearby, etc., and she’d try to aggressively jump on/play with some dogs when she got close to them. Walking was not enjoyable for any of us and forget about playing nicely with other dogs. She was also having difficulty with peeing in the house when she got stressed, excited, or scared. Prior to finding Christine, we tried puppy preschool, puppy playgroups, online training, training podcasts, 1:1 training with an online coach and nothing really helped us. One trainer said that we’d missed our socialization window and this was just the way she was going to be. That’s when I found Christine and she gave me hope. She has been so generous with her time, knowledge, and positivity, I can’t recommend her services enough. We still have a lot of work ahead of us, but Christine has really helped us find what will work for our dog and our family, I’m excited to watch this puppy continue to learn and grow with her help!
It’s been almost a year since we first started working with Christine. Our girl Lemon was struggling with anxiety, leash frustration/reactivity, recall, and learning how to settle and be calm. The most challenging part for us was learning what motivated Lemon. Christine truly came to our rescue when we called for a consult and immediately fit Lemon into her schedule for a week of day training. During that time, Christine taught us how to read Lemon’s behavior and body language, and how to work with Lemon rather than against her. We learned that our girl is highly motivated by toys and play, and that her leash frustration/reactivity was mostly due to her eagerness to say hi and play with other pups. Within a matter of months we were able to take what we learned from Christine and apply it all to our daily routine. Lemon, now 22 months old and weighing in at 117, walks like a champ on leash, has beautiful play and social skills with all dogs big and small, and can settle easily in public spaces. Lemon also does really well off leash, staying close, and coming when called. We really owe Christine so much. She’s kind, compassionate, professional, and truly cares about setting the humans and the dogs up for success. Christine is also the only board and train locally that doesn’t use force, fear, or pain as part of her methods for training dogs. She’s an expert in animal behavior and does her best to train the dog in front of her. What we loved the most was being able to see her working with our dog via the videos she recorded and shared with us! We learned not how to train all dogs, but how to collaborate with our girl, and how to not compare her to others. Even today, Christine still checks in on Lemon and always makes herself available to us when we have questions or find that we might need a bit more support as she continues maturing. Christine has really become part of our family 💛 I cannot recommend her services enough! Thank you, Christine, for helping us understand and love our girl for who she is with all her goofiness, love, and spunk!
Christine is a saint and a dog whisperer. More than training dogs, she trains their humans to be able to train their dogs. She uses positive reinforcement only so both you and your dog are happy throughout the process and form a really strong bond. Her facilities are like dog heaven with a pond and creek and lots of tall grasses to hide and play in and trees to weave in and out of. Juneau, our dog, loves Christine and I honestly don't think I would have been the kind of responsible dog owner I am now if I hadn't been graced by Christine's guidance. I honestly don't think there is anything I would recommend more to any dog owner than private training with Christine.
