I am sharing my concerns regarding recent billing and service issues with Eric Kauppila of Seattle Tax Accountants. I have had two consultations with Eric Kauppila. During our first meeting in 2024, I was charged a rate of $180 per hour. However, for our most recent consultation a year later, I was billed for two hours despite the meeting lasting less than one hour. Furthermore, the hourly rate increased to $350. When I inquired about this change, Mr. Kauppila was unwilling to explain the significant increase and did not reply, so here we are. Additionally, I found the consultation unsatisfactory as Mr. Kauppila was unable to answer basic questions regarding the purchase and sale of a vehicle, which was the primary purpose of our meeting. He also shared unsolicited political opinions regarding transgender bathrooms during our session. Professional consultations should remain focused on the services being paid for, and I found these comments extremely inappropriate. Do better Eric.

Eric and his team at Seattle CPA Professionals are top notch! Eric prepares taxes for my local small business, my LLC, and my personal tax returns. He is pleasant, forward thinking, and helps guide me in a positive and lucrative direction when handling my ever increasing funds. :) I would highly recommend his services!

Erik has been extremely professional and helpful in my financial needs. He continues to guide me through being a new business owner while giving great suggestions to aid in my success. I highly recommend him to any business owner. I will continue to use him and already feel less overwhelmed at the idea of filing next years taxes.

I recently made an appointment with Eric at Seattle CPA Professionals. He was very accommodating making arrangements to meet immediately. Eric was able to address my tax issues with a clear and concise plan. Showing strong attention to the details. The professional atmosphere and his easygoing demeanor are a perfect combination. Rates are affordable and Eric's great use of our time maximized results. I was very pleased! I would highly recommend Eric if you are looking for a competent, responsive tax professional to take care of your accounting concerns.
