Semper Lingua

Mrs. Selene has been teaching me spanish one on one for a couple hours a week. I have excelled in my spanish speaking and understanding exponentially. Everything I am learning is personal. She knows how to make each class specific to your personality and life. The classes dive deeper than just teaching you a language. They teach you culture. I am so blessed to have been connected with Semper Lingua.

Semper Lingua, and the founder/President, Mrs. Selene Barba, are incredible! I started beginner classes in Tagalog with the company which are one-on-one and I am taking two courses per week, one hour each. I am an adult, and this is the third foreign language I'm learning. I learned previous languages in a classroom environment with five other students. This is my first time with one-on-one courses. I can't emphasize enough how quickly I'm learning Tagalog. I've taken almost eight hours of class so far and not only is my instructor incredible (the company does a terrific job of placing you with an instructor who fits your learning style), the pace at which I'm learning is phenomenal. I mean, again, given my experience with classroom language learning, after nearly eight lessons, one hour each, which would equate to about two days of actual class, I feel I'm producing the language at the two-month mark! The price, you wouldn't believe, and I also love that my instructor is paid well not only for our class time but also for her prep! I highly recommend this company for language learning, as well as their many other services!

At the (not young) age of 39, I have decided enough is enough and have embarked on a journey to finally learn Spanish. For the last 6 months, I have been taking classes with Semper Lengua, and I cannot begin to rave enough about the excellent classes I have been taking. I take one-on-one lessons with my instructor, and each class is tailored to my level of knowledge in Spanish. What I particularly enjoy is the fact that when I have a question about a real-life application or situation, we will stop and discuss with examples, and have dialogue in Spanish to address a particular subject. I believe this is what makes Semper Lengua stand out as excellent and above and beyond- there isn't a rigid curriculum, it's an active, dynamic learning process that is designed for my style and level of skill (or lack thereof haha). I am so thankful and fortunate to have discovered Semper Lengua, and my vocabulary and understanding has improved markedly in just these last few months. Selene in particular is just wonderful, and she works with my hectic work schedule and (sometimes) last minute changes. Very pleasant experience, cannot recommend Semper Lengua enough! If you are thinking about taking the next step for learning a new language, you cannot go wrong here.
