Both of our kids - from age 11 to 14 - had tremendous fun at Sherwood Forest (despite the distance from home in DFW) each year, and reckon it one of the highlights of their years. The staff do a great job at making everyone feel included, and they're able to bring out the best in almost every camper. A great experience, and very much recommended.

On top of the fun of being whisked off to the time of knights and ladies brave and bold, inside a spralling 23 acre medieval village. Sherwood will feed the spirits and imaginations, of your child while teaching them unique skills! While I think every camp in Texas offers archery I don't know of any others that offers classes such as axe throwing, blacksmithing, chivalry, swordsmanship or pyrography just to name a few. Sherwood Campers are immersed in such a welcoming and encouraging environment. This is also a very LGTQ+ friendly place for kids and teens, which is not common in the Lone Star State. Our daughter has been a camper here for several years, and will be heading out for her first year as a CIT in a few weeks. I truly can not say enough great things about it. If you are looking for something that is both different and off the beaten path in way of camp experiences, as well providing your child the wonderful benefits of a classic summer camp experiences such as promoting confidence, independence, teamwork, and the all important screen time break that our kids so desperately need after this zoom exhausting year, I encouraged to the check them out. They have a very low camper to staffer ratio, and only a handful of spots are left- these will go quickly. 2021 Dates Session I – July 4 - 10, 2021 Session II – July 11 - 17, 2021 Session III – July 18 - 24, 2021

My daughter has attended Sherwood for years and is returning this year as a camp counselor. She looks forward to it all year. She even wrote her college essay about it (and was accepted to all schools that she applied to!) If you're looking for a place for your kid(s) to leave their electronics behind and fire up their creative thinking, this is the place!

Our son has attended Sherwood camp for 4 years. He has a blast every year. I couldn’t recommend this camp more highly. If your kid is a creative, imaginative, and maybe a little odd, Sherwood will nurture their soul.

My son LOVES Sherwood Forest. He learns so much and comes back with a great attitude each year. The staff is engaged, interesting, responsible, and inclusive. He started going in 2017, missed last year, and is excited about attending for two weeks this year
