It’s dated, the heat didn’t work and guest service didn’t answer for an hour I had to call from my cell phone to the front desk. The tv doesn’t connect to your phone or apps which makes it difficult, no one watches regular TV anymore! I wouldn’t want to stay here if it wasn’t where my job books my room, looks nice from the outside but they apps of updated this hotel way more than they did! Big TV but forced to watch cable tv with commercials!! No thank you!!

Excellent and Prompt Heat Repair Service
George provided outstanding service repairing the heating system in my room at the Signia. No sooner than he clocked into work, he made it to my room and got right to work. He was professional, knowledgeable, and efficient - diagnosing and fixing the issue quickly. George made sure the repair was done correctly and to my liking before he left, demonstrating real pride in his work. As a thoughtful touch for the inconvenience, he even left me with a chocolate in the form of a wrench! His friendly demeanor, attention to detail, and genuine care for guest comfort made the experience exceptional. It’s clear George goes above and beyond to ensure guests are well taken care of. Highly recommend him for any maintenance needs - he’s a true professional!

My company put me here at the Signia and I have been reminded why I switched brand loyalty to Hyatt. The location is fine, in the middle of downtown San Jose. The furniture in the rooms are aging. The leather on the desk chair is falling apart and peeling. The housekeeping staff is loud and slam doors consistently. My teams meeting was interrupted-rather annoying. The tv's are unable to stream any personal content. The amenities are very limited. Had to walk to 7-11 for some cold medicine and I won't even go into that experience. This property was so much better when it was part of The Fairmont Family. I am sticking to Hyatt.

The inside is very fancy... you can order food and there is a table by the front desks for it to be delivered. Clean rooms. Carpet was stainless & the bathroom was very nice. Pocket door allowed one to use the toilet if a roommate needed the sink!
Favorite part: there is a SAUNA here! A dry one with pleasant smelling wood, and a steamy one. Positively marvelous.
Front desk staff were very friendly :-) asked polite questions about the furry convention & were excited about our costumes
My room lacked enough face towels for a bit, we only had 2 face towels though 4 were registered to stay... Got a text from a manager asking if I needed anything to "Improve my Stay." The original text was probably automated, but a person responded! So we got more towels. He & housekeeping were both very polite
Six elevators go to the top floors. When I visited last year there were 2 under maintenance. They eventually got fixed, but a simultaneous furry convention, business conference, and a wedding were a bit crowded haha

The best thing going for this hotel is its marketing team. Pictures promoting this place are extremely deceiving (as is the hotel lobby), because the rooms are a completely different story. Inside the furniture is falling apart, the carpets stained, and doesn’t feel clean. We had to report the television not working our first night only to discover that they have issues with their cable connection and television channels making it janky at best. The real draw to this place is the pool, as most hotels downtown don’t have one. Overall it was fine. They maintain the pool area and there are plenty towels. It would be great if they moved one of the many fire pits they reserve for the rooms with patios to the pool area and/or added a hot tub. The staff is not seen around and usually absent from the desk. While absolutely NOT a 5 star hotel - that was kind of a given with the price range. Not sure I’ll be returning but hope they consider an upgrade to their guests experience.
