My fiancé and I went to Sit Means Sit to as a proactive attempt to lower our Doberman puppy aggressive tendencies while on a leash. At first, we were happy with the progress she was making, though it quickly took a dark turn. The collar was doubled due to her regression which was shockingly painful. When she was in her high fearful and anxious environment, their solution was to hit her with a higher force on her collar. This made her even more amped up, which eventually led her to biting my fiancé. These concerns were voiced to the staff which blamed her tendencies on her age. This experience was much too expensive for our dog to regress so intensely. We switched to K-9 Expert and he completely healed our pup with confidence and support rather than an aggressive collar. If your dogs actions are based off of anxiety, we feel that this training method is much too aggressive. Regardless, we can not recommend more looking into K-9 Expert rather than Sit Means Sit.

This is our second time using Sit Means Sit, and it confirmed that we won't use anyone else to train our dogs! The entire atmosphere and everyone there is calm, kind, professional, and so understanding. They truly have everything down to a science. We look forward to continuing with group training now that we have the tools to get the dog there appropriately.

Our 3 year old Black Lab Retriever, Sophie, would get totally distracted on walks and when people would come to the door. She is sweet but highly energetic. Sit by Sit has helped to train both us and Sophie by teaching great methods to calm her down by using commands such as heel, off, sit, down, go, etc. she is doing amazingly well as we continue to develop her as a therapy dog.

We took our Harley to Sit Means Sit to help us with his excessive barking, pulling on the leash, anxiety separation, chewing on items and basic listening skills. After just the first class Harley came home a different puppy listening to my commands . My daughter came over and he would bark non stop at her but this time one bark is all he did and he stopped. He even let her pet him ! What a change this has made in him. I can’t wait to get started now in the group classes to further his training. If you need to get help with your puppy this place is a great place to get it at.

My dog Cintra had me losing my patience and getting very frustrated. She is a German shepherd mix with Siberian Husky....so a working dog but stubborn/dramatic. She was driving me nuts and would not listen to me. I knew she just needed more structure but I just didn't know how to go about that. Finally I found the amazing people at Sit Means Sit at Northfield. These guys are amazing and talk to me like a normal human being. Treated Cintra like family and love her almost as much as I love her. Cintra is phenomenal! A total 180. She has the structure that she needs and knows the commands...and best of all...mom isn't losing her mind anymore🤣. As long as you follow through with what the trainers tell you to do and stick with it, with also good communication about your dog...your dog's behavior is sure to improve 100%. Thank you guys so much!!
