Beware - Stressful Birthday Party We decided to have our childs birthday party at the Shawnee Sky Zone location and we thought that would make thing easy but that was far from the truth. Our dedicated party pro that we paid for was seemingly nowhere to be found for the majority of the party except for when pizza was served. We got minimal help with check in, had to stand at the entrance and walk all the guests through the check in process. This is something that our party pro or other employees, who were standing around on a slow evening, should have helped with in our opinion. We booked a 2 hour party and before doing so, we called this location and talked to the SkyZone representative about doing 1.5 hours of jump time and 30 minutes of party room time. They confirmed that this would be no problem on two seperate phone calls. Our kids wanted to eat pizza and cake with friends but not open gifts so 30 minutes would have been plenty of party room time. The one thing our party pro actually did when we arrived was immediately tell us that we were required to do one hour of jump time followed by one hour of party room time, in which the children would not be allowed to return to jump after they finished eating pizza. This is not what we or our birthday kid wanted. A stressful start to what was supposed to be a care free kids birthday party! I eventually found the manager Christian. He told me that I had not talked to anyone at the Shawnee location about the 30 minute party room / 1.5 hour jump time arrangement. "You didn't talk to us... You talked to our call center and they aren't authorized to make modifications." I had no idea that I was not talking directly to the Shawnee location as they forwarded the call to this call center. Talk about a customer focused attitude, I was essentially told this situation was my fault. He then threatened to charge $5 for each child in our party (of which we had around 20) to be allowed an additional 30 minutes of jump time. This is on top of the already $570 I'd paid for the party. In the end, the manager to agreed to the deal the "call center" had promised but it wasn't without a lot of stress, confusion, negotiation, last minute changes, and threatened additional charges. I will not be allowing my kids to have a birthday party at this location in the future.
I’m making this review for parents of YOUNG children—sadly this isn’t really the place. When my kids are older, I’ll for sure be back. BUT, the prices are very high, especially when you’re having to pay for adults who are “jumping” just to really watch the kids. (I had to pay almost $90 for two kids under 5 and two adults—for 90 minutes, which was longer than we even needed.) I would be happier if there was a designated area for littles to REALLY play, but there isn’t. And that’s fine! But charging full price for a ONE year old when there really isn’t anything safe for him to do is outrageous. It’s honestly on the edge with a 4.5 year old, also; I know there are “little leaper” times, but…I don’t know, I’m just sadly pretty disappointed with how much we paid for the (lack of) experience for my younger kids. I understand this is all liability, etc.—but paying close to $100 for 45 minutes of trying to find maybe a corner for my baby to bounce in feels not right. Consider either lowering prices for younger kids/ their chaperoning adults, or designing a toddler-area (which I think would be super fun!). Like I said, I think my boys will have a blast when they’re older and can play and roam free, AND it will be more financially-friendly at that point; but not a great time for what you’re spending if you have littles. (The two younger employees that helped me were both polite and had great customer service, so happy props for that!)
It’s great. They’d get more customers if the prices for their play area were flexible for shorter visits, like $5 for 30 minutes, or $10 for an hour. I truly understand why they only charge full day pass fees, for regulation, safety, and numbers.
The staff was great, the place was clean and well maintained. We attended a birthday party here and enjoyed it. As a parent, you can stand on the steps or ramp in the middle area and be able to watch more than one kid which is nice when you’re there without your spouse with numerous kiddos. The food is what you’d expect for kids parties lol.
Fun place for kids and adults who love the trampoline, basketball and obstacle course type play. They also have a gaming area, snacks and comfortable seating for those who wanna take rest while the children jump to their hearts content. The first hour was $20 but if you want their 90 minute package out was only $4 more, there were other packages but I didn't take note of those prices. You can buy jumping socks there at a pretty reasonable price with several designs to choose from.
