I can’t say enough great things about Skyhook! I’ve been climbing here for a few months, and it’s basically become a second home. The space is beautiful—from the plant wall and coworking space to the well-equipped fitness center and of course, the actual climbing area. The sets are challenging enough to really make you think about your technique, while also not being so difficult that you feel defeated. But what I love the most about Skyhook is the incredible community and atmosphere. Everyone on the staff is welcoming and helpful, and I’ve made so many genuine friends since starting my membership. Between the regular community events and the new routes that go up 2x per week, I find myself wanting to be here whenever I have a free moment. I’ll be honest, I’ve never been to any other climbing gym, so I have no point of comparison, but I simply can’t imagine how there could be anything better than Skyhook.

I never thought a Portland climbing gym could be this good. The route setting is incredibly creative and constantly changing, which keeps things fresh every week. The community is awesome too—it really feels like a second home.

I’ve been a member here for several months and have nothing but good things to say about Skyhook. Super welcoming, great routes, very approachable classes, and all sorts of neat stuff I wouldn’t have thought to ask for (plant wall! gym! coworking desks!). Highly recommend to anyone regardless of their climbing experience.
