They had great books, but when Ingo to a used bookstore I want used book prices and this was not that.

I commute via e-bike, and part of that is carrying a backpack. In that backpack is a $1,200 camera and another item I do not feel comfortable 'leaving at the front door'. I was waiting for a nearby shop to open, when I noticed Smith Books. I was excited to check it out, and had time and cash to burn, on my day off. Upon entering, I was asked to set my bag by the door. Leaving this at the door is unsafe and leaves nobody to assume liability if my property is stolen. Also, welcoming your customers by treating them as potential criminals, is not a great business practice.
