Before you go, just know that you will have to pay for parking. There is a parking garage nearby, which is your best option. There is also street parking, but it’s free only if you’re lucky enough to find a spot which is very unlikely. When we first walked in, it looked pretty empty since we went in the evening. There weren’t many people there at first. We did end up waiting quite a while for someone to take our drink order, but I believe the restaurant manager noticed this and was kind enough to offer us a free appetizer, which we really appreciated. We went on a Tuesday, which is Taco Tuesday all tacos are $3 each. The free appetizer we received was the esquite with chips, and it was really good. We also ordered pineapple margaritas during happy hour (3 PM–6 PM). We did have to wait a long time for our food, and we ordered tacos. However, overall the service was amazing, especially from the manager. Our waitress was clearly overwhelmed because she was the only one working—she was handling all the tables and the bar. I honestly felt bad for her, but she still did her best and stayed kind and professional. The atmosphere was nice. They play music it’s not too loud, but you can definitely hear it and enjoy it. The restaurant is also accessibility-friendly, with both booths and tables available. Overall: good vibes, good food, and great management support despite being understaffed. If you go, I definitely recommend going on a Tuesday for the $3 tacos 🌮.
The atmosphere and the service are absolutely amazing, it’s right on the baseball field and you can’t get a better view, especially if you sit outside. Although, sitting outside, depends on what time of year it is. I don’t recommend sitting outside in the summer as it gets very hot and it’s very sunny. the umbrella provides some shade but really this place should’ve put an awning overhead to provide more more shade. I gave three stars for the food because the food is just OK and the margaritas are extremely overpriced.
This place got the aesthetic right ! Customer service was top notch as well . My only gripe is there isn’t 1 vegan item on the menu or anything I could modify for lunch ( many vegetarian options - no vegan ) . I ended up ordering an iced tea and it wasn’t even close to a good tea. I did finish it but there’s nothing here for me , no reason to return .
Social Cantina was a good little lunch spot during the workday. You can park in the apartment building that social cantina is located in, but they do charge for parking by the hour. I got three different tacos, one of which was a shrimp and corn special that was delicious And their Korean barbecue which I also really enjoyed. The third was a traditional taco that was just fine. The queso was pretty good and the chips were decent. It was pretty empty inside of the restaurant, but I hope that it picks up as it is a relatively new restaurant in the Germantown area.
Why aren't you responding to your reviews? Not a good idea. It's git wrenching but show your professionalism. It looks like the food is wrong. The selections don't fit the atmosphere at all. Yeah things, Korean, ahi tuna, white rice----its a great start, but I would pivot to smaller menu with better regional entrees. It worries me that the ingredients for guacamole is guacamole.
