If you have nothing to compare to and don't care if workers are personable or helpful, I'm sure you'll have a tolerable time here! However, if you would like to ask the staff any questions, want to be able to jump down from climbing onto an adequately padded surface, or need to rent shoes, just take the drive over to Momentum where you'll be much better suited. Further and pricier, but worth it. When faced with people wondering what the differences are between rappelling and bouldering, the old guy at the front desk acted as if nobody new has ever been there before. I understand with a small place like this, it's likely the regulars that keep them open, so I get the exasperation at having to explain the basics to people. But! As someone in the customer service industry as well, it's really not that hard to lay out the essentials, especially if your job is as simple as sitting at a desk and handing out shoes. And that's not even mentioning how unkempt and poorly maintained the gym is. Can barely tell what color the rocks are with all the chalk buildup, and our party noticed several broken holds in the 2hrs we were there. Find somewhere else<3

It’s not a very big and professional field, but I think it’s enough and enjoyable

Found place on Groupon and went with my sisters as novice rock climbers. Place was empty. Met with Dwight and did not have a friendly introduction from him, which is fine, but he was extremely condescending during our entire interaction. As well as speaking harshly to us, he was also very touchy during our instruction. I understand if some touch is needed for rope demonstration & guiding but CONSENT is needed before touching customers. He wrapped his arms around me during rope demonstration, grabbed my hips while telling me “good girl”, and was patting in very close proximity of my sister’s behind while telling her “butt to the floor”. THIS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES. Again, all of this happened without CONSENT and was extremely inappropriate overall. Dwight also made us feel extremely uncomfortable if we did not understand his instructions by making unnecessary/harsh comments. We did experience harassment and will not be coming to this establishment again. Additionally, other than one other employee (new/in training), there was no other staff on the floor after Dwight left our interaction. I definitely wanted to speak to him regarding all of this afterwards but he was no where near by. Place seems old and outdated. Definitely has many areas for concern-safety wise. I wish I read all of the 1 star reviews before i came to this place. Will not be returning!!!

I came from out of town, excited to boulder while on a business trip. Spent 10 minutes in here and decided it wasnt worth going on my site visit tomorrow injured. The floors here aren't padded. There are portable pads that look like they came from the 90's. I mean, an air mattress would be better. The routes are hard to tell apart in dim lighting (white, blueish, white with tiedye all look the same). Oh, and the solution to any spinner is to tape an X over it. So...you either skip it, or use it and fall...on the hard floor. Save your cash and time.

I can’t overstate how much I love bouldering here. Been going for years. Great routes, usually good variety. Lots of crimps, great people. And its cheap and cozy
