I came to this store to buy ski gear knowing absolutely nothing about skiing. Levi helped me a lot and made the whole process easy and stress-free. He recommended equipment that was suitable for my level and budget, explained clearly what I needed and why, and walked me through how to choose everything properly. He was very patient, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful. I had a great experience and really appreciate his help.

I had a great experience. It was my first time at this Sports Basement. Guy in the bike department was super helpful. He said he was new but he knew exactly what kind of gift I could get for my bicyclist friend. My friend was extremely happy with his gift & said he needed that gift for the same reason the sales associate told me. I liked the snowboard goggle department because there was a huge selection. I also got to check out bindings. Still shopping around for bindings but it's good to get a look at them. Great place. Excellent customer service.

Josh and team in the Feet section are highly customer-driven employees. Josh inspected my shoe needs asking where and in what kind of terrain I run and then recommended me the best fit. Earlier, there was another person (sorry, I am forgetting the name) who also searched for shoes based on my ask and eventually involved Josh for help. They have a wide variety of brands. I liked one of the shoes, but it had limited color selection. I will definitely be back as I have not yet finalized my purchase and if I don't end up finding the color I am looking for in the recommended brand. I truly appreciate the attention to details and making me feel valued. Highly recommend this place for outdoor needs!

Great store! 👍 There’s a huge selection of everything you need for sports, outdoor activities, and an active lifestyle. Everything is well organized and easy to find. Prices are reasonable, and the staff is always ready to help. I highly recommend visiting — everyone will find something useful here!

Not quite eclectic like REI Not quite clear about its buyer like Dick’s Not quite for the runner like RoadRunner I went in for a pair of shoes, based on a friend’s recommendation. But quickly realized why it’s called a basement. I am greeted with massively packed isles, organized by multitude of departments from kids to camping to yoga. The isles are packed with familiar brands that assault senses - but for super friendly associates, I’d have immediately fled. Now the associates, they are awesome. Super patient and very knowledgeable about their products. Fight the good fight, lads. But this store is too confused to go anywhere but lower.
