I have so many great things to say about Josh (head of Stangby designs) and our experience with him! First off when we met for a consultation he listened to our needs and budget and right off the bat he guided us and provided us such great information that made us feel comfortable that he knows his stuff and options to stay within budget. When we received the initial design for the backyard, it was absolutely beautiful but we wanted to optimize some items like the pool space and open play area. Josh created multiple design variations so we can visualize it better and for us to make an informed decision on our investment. And the process has been very fun. Yes we go back and forth but Josh is great because he listens to our needs but also provides us with meaningful design tips (and county restrictions) so it feels like more of a design team instead of us dictating everything or him pushing ideas. I really love and appreciate his knowledge and collaboration so it’s made the process extremely enjoyable. Not only has the design component been great, but Josh’s vendors to complete the project have also been great people to bounce ideas off of. Josh joined us with each vendor and provided all the support we needed during the design phase of planning. Upon writing this review, our backyard hasn’t been completed yet but we are really excited to see the end result and frankly I don’t think we could have done something this beautiful without Stangby designs. I fully recommend them 100%. I promise you can’t go wrong!

Joshua had great communication, our plans came out so beautifully, and he helped change any portions of the design to better fit what we were looking for. I would recommend them to anyone who asks! The contractor we used that he recommended was also amazing. I couldn't asked for a better experience and will be called him when its time to redo my front yard!
