I called the customer service line ahead of time and was told that the lenses would be around $60. When I arrived at the store, the staff member pulled up a pricing sheet as if I were purchasing new glasses with frames, even though I had clearly stated—before walking in—that I was only looking to replace the lenses. She explained that this sheet was “standard for their practice,” so I allowed her to fill it out. The total came to $442 for two lenses, which was shocking given what I had been told on the phone. I’ve previously paid around $400 for two complete pairs of glasses with lenses, so seeing nearly the same price for lenses only made no sense. After I confronted her about the price and mentioned what the customer service representative had told me, she began adjusting multiple discounts until the total came down to $190, closer to what I was quoted on the phone. I find it very concerning that they use one “standard” pricing sheet for everything—regardless of what you’re actually getting—with the first listed price starting at $349, and then apply various discounts afterward. This approach feels misleading and makes it difficult to trust the pricing. The lady, however, is helpful and got my glasses in 30 minutes. I am just not a fan of the practice of selling
My family went here the other day to help my mom get a new pair of glasses and had a great experience! We were greeted and asked what we needed right when we walked in the door. All of the staff were very helpful every step of the way and easily answered every question we had. Special shout out to Tamar who helped us check out. She was very personable and helpful. Great experience overall and highly recommend!
I had a wonderful shopping experience with Tamar! She willingly explained the current promotions with me, as well as the break down of new insurance coverage! Great experience overall!
Lack of organization caused my appointment to begin 45 minutes late, the exam with the doctor was helpful, but everything after included low quality service, making me wonder how well the staff are trained. My glasses came too tight, with roughly cut lenses and are lopsided. This is my first negative review of a business, but others need to know they will be spending $250+ for this kind of service.
First and foremost, I have to give a huge thank you to Tamar. Her customer service is absolutely phenomenal — easily the best I’ve encountered at any business in recent memory. From the moment I walked in, she was patient, attentive, knowledgeable, and truly went above and beyond to make sure I felt heard and taken care of. It’s rare to come across someone who genuinely cares that much about the customer experience, and without her, I wouldn't have given Stanton Optical a second chance. Over the course of my visits, I ended up spending well over $1,400 on three separate pairs of glasses. At that price point, I expected precision, comfort, and long-lasting quality. Unfortunately, what I received fell significantly short of those expectations. The biggest issue I’ve had — and continue to deal with — is the quality and consistency of the lenses. Even though my prescription was properly measured, the lenses don’t seem to be crafted correctly. The prescription doesn’t feel evenly distributed across the lenses, which has caused visual distortion and discomfort. Wearing them for long periods has been frustrating and, at times, disorienting. Tamar has worked tirelessly to help me through this process. She reordered the lenses, made adjustments, and did everything within her power to make things right. Her professionalism, patience, and genuine concern were the only reasons I stuck around and tried to give this store another shot. I’m incredibly thankful for everything she’s done to support me as a customer. That said, despite all of Tamar’s efforts, the core issue seems to lie with the production team or the lab that manufactures the lenses. The repeated problems suggest a lack of precision or quality control in the manufacturing process — and that’s something even the best customer service can’t fix. At this point, I feel like I shouldn’t return — and honestly, I wouldn’t, if I weren’t already stuck with three separate pairs of lenses that I’ve invested so much money in. It’s incredibly disappointing to feel trapped by such a large purchase, especially when the product doesn’t meet even basic expectations. I truly hope Stanton Optical takes a serious look at their production standards and invests in improving the quality of their lenses. The staff — especially someone as exceptional as Tamar — deserve better, and so do the customers who put their trust in this brand. Thank you again, Tamar. You were the bright spot in an otherwise frustrating and expensive experience.
