I needed a new roof after winning an insurance settlement and wanted a highly impact–resistant shingle to protect our house from the kind of monster hail storm that trashed my roof in April of 2022. First, I contacted a highly-respected, local roofing legend to do the job. He didn’t have the expertise for the specialty roofing material I wanted installed so he suggested I contact Blaze Gray at Statewide Roofing. That may be the best advice I’ve ever received. Statewide is a phenomenal company. From the first conversation to the final payment for my fabulous new roof, the process was flawless. I mean that literally. Statewide never caused any foul-ups or stumbles. At every step of the process Statewide showed their skill, organization, and professionalism. Their people are friendly, dependable, and highly knowledgeable. I particularly liked working with Peter and Danny. But the face of the company during my interaction was Blaze Gray. Blaze could not have been more gracious, patient, informative, respectful, or accessible. He and I developed a great friendship. I could ask him anything and I could tell he was shooting straight with me. He even helped me solve and avoid problems I didn’t know I had or how to deal with. The results are, I got exactly the roof I wanted at a price better than the three other companies I asked for an estimate. Blaze gets the credit. He grew up learning everything about roofing from his legendary father, who helped me with a separate roofing issue in 2010. Those are honest, high-integrity people, who get out-worked by no one and stand by their word. Statewide Roofing could not possibly have given me a better experience. We called several places to come out and look at our 13 year old roof that needed to be replaced due to age and hail damage. Mark came out, and he definitely stood out from the rest. He was extremely knowledgeable, worked with us throughout the whole process, and even helped us in dealing with our insurance company. I cannot say enough good things about him. When the guys came out, they were fast, efficient, very nice, and did an excellent job cleaning up too. The roof looks amazing, and was even less expensive than we originally thought it would be to replace. If we need a roofer in the future we will definitely be calling Mark with Statewide. Thank you!
Update: Statewide reached out to resolve this issue. They confirmed that there was an error in the roof’s installation, and they agreed to fix the issue at no cost. Additionally, they’re going to take care of some pesky squirrel damage (unrelated to our contract) as a courtesy, which I appreciate. —————- Statewide came out to replace our roof and repair damage from a massive hailstorm in April 2021 in Norman. After replacing the roof in July, we had to constantly badger our rep to come out to do the additional repairs/painting that they had quoted and charged our insurance for. It wasn’t until May of 2022 that they came out to replace a paint some siding they’d quoted us for. Eventually we gave up on getting them to do everything they said they would. Within the last couple of months, my fascia and soffit have started to rot. I called a contractor out to take a look at it, and he said that the drip edge and drip seam do not extend the length of the fascia, allowing water behind the fascia, which caused it to bow and rot the soffit underneath. Statewide actually replaced the adjacent siding in May 2022 citing a need to do so to prevent this exact issue from happening, but their repairs were obviously inadequate. Additionally, the shingles immediately by this problem area are curling. It’s frustrating to have spent over a year trying to get this company to do what they said they would, and now I’m going to have to pay a separate contractor to fix an issue that Statewide claimed to have proactively addressed in their repairs.
