Julio was fantastic! The food is simply gorgeous. We started off with the globe artichokes which was melt in your mouth amazing. I had the French onion soup and my husband had the Korean braised short rib. All plates were nothing short of fantastic. We look forward to coming back and bringing friends.
Finally, we find a highly rated restaurant in Bishop Arts that is worth the price. Michelin rated and legit. And actually more affordable than some of the other pretenders in the area. You know who you are. I have traveled all over the country rating restaurants and eating at Michelins and James Beard winners. I’ve had it with some of the overpriced and underwhelming restaurants in downtown BA. Stock and Barrel exceeded all expectations. My wife and I ordered enough food to take home two meals and spent about $130 with the tip. Everything we had was perfect. The french fry looking things are actually brisket cigars. Delicious with a dipping sauce at the bottom. The salad with pears was delectable. The roasted artichokes was a pleasant surprise and brought me back to my childhood when my mother used to make me artichokes and then cut out the hearts. The brussels sprouts were sweet and tangy. But the rockstar was the Wagyu meatloaf. Wow. Flavorful, spicy with a kick. Very filling. Took me two sittings to finish it. The service was excellent. Our server Nisha was so attentive. Explained the dishes in detail and was great to talk to. It’s so nice when you find a good restaurant with good food and service. I’ll never complain about the price. Forget all the others in the area. Take your business here.
Lovely dinner experience at Stock & Barrel! Food was incredibly delish! From the carmelized brussels, truffle mushrooms (my fav!), waygu meatballs to the wood grilled jumbo shrimp on grits and peppercorn butter (love that butter!). Absolutely loved the toffee croissant bread pudding- topped with salted caramel ice cream that was divine. Service matched the food & drinks! Our server Julio was the best! He made it so fun to visit. I can’t wait to try other items on the menu. Worthy of the Michelin guide! Way to go!
An unforgettable night — amazing food, incredible service, and so much heart! My husband and I came here for the first time (5 PM dinner) to celebrate my birthday and being one year cancer-free, and it could not have been more perfect. From the moment we walked in, the service was warm, genuine, and attentive without ever feeling rushed. JULIO & NASH were so friendly, attentive, and very knowledgeable. Definitely a reason to come back! Every dish was outstanding — the Brussels sprouts were perfectly crispy and flavorful, the pork cigars were such a fun and delicious surprise, the burger was juicy and cooked to perfection, and the meatloaf was pure comfort on a plate. We also enjoyed a great glass of wine and a cold beer that paired beautifully with everything. It’s rare to find a place that nails both food and atmosphere, but this restaurant did just that. Thank you for making such a meaningful night even more special. We’ll definitely be back tomorrow morning for brunch!
My experience with Stock & Barrel actually began before I even walked through the door. I called ahead of time to ask a few questions about the menu, and Nash, the manager, took extra time to patiently address all of my concerns. That level of care really stood out to me — and it didn’t stop there. When I arrived at the restaurant, our server Perry already knew I had called and greeted me with the same attentiveness. He asked how he could better serve me, which made the experience feel incredibly personal and thoughtful. Perry was an amazing server — friendly, professional, and extremely knowledgeable. He knew every dish inside and out, which made ordering both easy and enjoyable. The atmosphere at Stock & Barrel is warm and inviting, perfect for a relaxed and comfortable dining experience. The service was outstanding, and the food was just as impressive. We ordered the special cod, and it was a true standout — so fresh and flavorful, it tasted like it had just come out of the ocean. In fact, the last time I enjoyed fish like that was back home in Brooklyn, New York. It brought back childhood memories of when my mom and I used to go down by the Bay and buy the catch of the day fresh off the boat. That nostalgic connection made the meal all the more meaningful. Overall, Stock & Barrel delivered not just great food and service, but a memorable experience from start to finish. I would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for thoughtful hospitality, a welcoming atmosphere, and food that speaks for itself.
