Mine is more of a question than review. Is there a time when there are more adults than young ones or adult sessions. Im looking more as some knowledge for self defense. I Love Boxing.
I have trained with this family owned business for about a year a while back . I popped up to say hi here and there. I must say these people are the most respectful , understanding & patient people to work with if you are respectful and patient as well . I’m sorry for the bitter people that can’t be patient and understand but these people are so amazing and helpful. I hope to come back soon and train with them … my name will remain anonymous 😊 but hoping to go back and train train train 💪🏻🥊🏋🏻♀️
5 star and first class all the way! The very definition of a boxing club! Coaches guide you correctly teaching the basics and turning training up as you improve, kids are not forced to do anything they are not ready for, boxing is not your local little league team, it's an individual sport and coaches are very aware of that as they move you at your speed yet the feel of the gym is family! Highly recommend Cal at boxing club!
It's a good place for kids to go to hangout after school so they can stay out of trouble. But, as far as going to a gym as a beginner and trying to have to coach build you up as a fighter, this isn't the best gym. They do have some high level young fighters, but most of the kids say they have no interest in competing. Most of kids who 'train' there, just like hangout (Which I don't see as a problem). The coach barely had time to work with me, even when I would ask help he would ignore me. Also if you're an adult, the environment is somewhat awkward at first. Mainly just bc you stand out since it's mainly youngsters there. I went there for a month and everybody who trained there was either under 18 or ever 40 (parents trying to workout with their kids). Later on it does get more comfortable working around them though. If what you're looking for is a kids club environment, this is the place for you. But if you are new to boxing and want to have one on one time with a very knowledgeable and experienced coach that actually cares about seeing you succeed, go to a different gym in Stockton. I joined a different gym and within a month, I'm already getting good sparring work with a pro fighter.
My son loves this place, he is learning so quick, its not expensive and help kids to be Confident in himself.
