I ordered a custom 8-inch birthday cake, cake pops, and cupcakes for my baby’s first birthday, and I couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out. I’m very particular when it comes to both the look and the taste — I didn’t want anything overly sweet, and I was going for a clean, classy farm animal theme. All I sent Kayla was one inspiration photo via email, and she absolutely nailed it. The design was beautifully executed — elegant, fun, and exactly what I had envisioned (if not better). Every single treat tasted as good as it looked, which is rare! So many of our guests commented on how delicious and perfectly balanced the flavors were. We ordered Monster Inc themed cupcakes for our child’s birthday from Sugar + Salt Bakery. It was our first time ordering and it did not disappoint. It was as tasty as it was as beautiful. We received so many compliments on them from our 150+ guests. Thank you so much for being part of our special day. We hope to order from your business again soon! I wish I could give 6+ stars! We ordered a custom bday cake (serving 8-10ppl) for our daughter and we were absolutely blown away! This may be one of if not the most talented bake shop in MB. We inquired with an idea in mind and Kayla brought it to Life!!! The cake is absolutely moist and delicious as well. Oh! And they even accommodated a dairy intolerance for us. To elaborate, we were provided absolutely beautiful detailing on the cake and even 3D elements which were beautiful purple butterflies and a balloon as well! Thank you so much Sugar & Salt we will absolutely be back if you’ll have us! Cheers.

We are so happy we went with Sugar + Salt for our wedding. Kayla made the booking process easy and was professional and personable. We loved how we had the opportunity to taste 3 different cakes before deciding on a flavour (there's so many to pick from!). Kayla met with us virtually to discuss how we envisioned our wedding cake and she delivered! We went with a two tiered cake so we could keep the top half to freeze and have at a later date. The cake was not too sweet and the buttercream was perfect. We look forward to enjoying the cake we saved in the freezer with family and friends over the winter! The sweets in our dessert bar exceeded our expectations. We decided on mini cupcakes, doughnuts, bars/slices, Jam Jams (imperial cookies) and macarons. Our guests can't stop talking about how amazing the desserts were, especially the doughnuts and Jam Jams. Both of our families have huge sweet tooths and were pleased with the flavour, variety and presentation. The desserts went fast because everything tasted so delicious. Thank you Kayla for the amazing cake and desserts for our special day! We will be making more regular visits to the Shoppe in the future. :)

Walked into the bakery, which is close. I loved the decor and layout inside. The display was lovely. The deserts are all cute. Bought two simpler cupcakes since my kids aren’t adventurous. The red velvet had great frosting but lacked the punch I need. The chocolate and hazelnut cupcake was more rich (coffee flavor). Will definitely try more as selection expands.
