Sugarland Ranch! We had two dogs we boarded here for approximately 21 days. To say we were nervous about leaving them for that long anywhere is an understatement. However, after meeting the staff, taking a tour, talking and getting very comfortable with the place we scheduled the time to leave our dogs here. What sold us… The place is very clean, very well taken care of, the repeat customers, the history they have with some of the customers - one of which was a service member that deployed in theater and was extended leaving his dog with them and how they took care of the dog and the service member when he returned. What you pay for is a value that you don’t get at most other places, the care our dogs received we feel was TOP NOTCH! They told us we could call and check in on them (no we didn’t talk to our dogs) and they let us know how they were doing, if there were any problems. While we were away, Reno had a major storm and one of our dogs had a problem with thunder. When we called they let us know that he was doing well and that they noticed it and made sure to check on him often. We left special treats for our dogs to have while we were gone and they gave them those treats evenly through the time we were gone to ensure they lasted. They take the dogs out to exercise them together and not send them out with a bunch of other dogs they're not familiar with that might cause problems. The dogs get fed at the same time everyday so they know, and they are in their kennels at night at the same time. Also, while I was visiting I noticed that it isn’t like most kennels you got to that are loud with all the dogs barking, all the dogs seem quite calm and relaxed. They bark a little, but really were calm, even when we called to check in. OBTW if we called and had to leave a message because they couldn’t get to the phone, they called back the same day. When we came to pick up our pups, they were playing, looking happy. They were excited to see us as well and come home too. I highly recommend Sugarland Ranch, and if we ever take another cross country trip and are unable to take our dogs with us - this is the place they will spend their vacation.
We love this place our dogs are happy to come and stay. Great space for the three of them and I’m sure they loved the food . They stayed there 3 yrs ago. Awesome.
It’s apparent that entire team at Sugarland Ranch is attentive to every dog’s needs, as they’re super passionate about caring for furry ones! They’re extremely thorough with their check in process, ensuring that they have all the details and supplies they need to love your pup while you’re away. The space itself is clean, organized, and decorated with so many cute photos of rescues and other visitors! I love their “suites” and how the doggies have safe access to the outdoors. I also appreciate that they give the dogs play time outside in their enormous, fenced-in yard. Scheduling is easy and they’re very communicative about dates that fill up quickly. I appreciate how quickly they respond, too!
Pre boarding visit. VERY impressed! The dogs there seemed happy and well cared for. I met with Mack and Phillip who seemed to be like me...caring but no nonsense. I loved the family only exposure as 2 of my 3 get "kennel cough" at the drop of a hat. Most places claim this is 'inevitable' which is a cop out. This place makes no such ridiculous statements. Need to call well ahead of the time you need though! They get booked quick because they are so good!
My Frenchie babies had an amazing time at Sugarland Ranch. The couple who own/run things are truly amazing people. They have so much experience with the animals. The property is beautiful, everything is organized. My husband and I went away for a week without a care. Your dogs will be in good hands here, they do a terrific job!!!
