Another great visit to my favourite shop in the South Side. Have not had a chat with Suzi the owner for ages and she is the sunshine for sure. Lots of new ranges of artefacts all from Scottish makers. Lovely new candle range from a maker in Dumbarton. A lovely shopping experience and beats going into town for my birthday gifts.

I had been following Sunshine No.1 on Twitter for a while but wasn’t until recently that I placed my first order in the online store. I don’t live in the UK anymore, so shipping was more challenging to figure out but Suzi was just amazing! She made it possible for me to buy the unique Scotland knit hat I wanted and was so kind and patient throughout. I hope to visit Glasgow and stop by her shop in person soon, but in the meantime I would definitely shop online again! I love that everything is made in Scotland and supports Scottish artists, and that you can be sure anything you buy as a gift or for yourself will be special 😊

This wee shop is a shining beacon of light in the Mount Florida district of Glasgow. The shop window is immediately inviting with a colourful display of arts and crafts. The shop owner, Suzi, is just lovely and very welcoming. She personally curates everything sold in her shop and the gifts ranging from pottery to candles and soaps to lovely quirky crafts to beautiful prints are 100% made by Scottish artists and makers. I love the home-grown honey from local beekeepers. Shopping at Sunshine No1 is very uplifting and to top it all Suzi offers a free gift-wrapping service which makes it the perfect place to buy fab last minute presents! Glasgow's south-side is a much better place for having this wee gem in the heart of the community. 5 Stars

The most wonderful gift shop with original Scottish sourced products. The staff /owner can’t be more helpful! AND fantastic online shop with again prompt, helpful service. Highly recommended!

Sunshine no.1 is such a fantastic shop! Really lovely selection all made by small Scottish businesses, and there’s something new every visit. Suzy is fantastic too - very warm and friendly. She has a story about every item in the shop, it’s great to get a bit of an insight into the person who made what you are buying.
