I recently celebrated my birthday at Sushi Star in Kitchener with my girlfriend and my kids, and we all had an excellent experience. My girlfriend chose this spot because it came highly recommended to her—and those recommendations were absolutely spot on. I’m happy to pass that recommendation forward. The sushi was outstanding across the board. The sashimi portions were exactly right—not oversized, but perfectly cut to highlight the quality and freshness of the fish. Everything we tried was full of flavor. The salmon, tuna, and eel were all exceptional, and it was clear that care and consistency go into every dish. The overall quality of the food made the celebration even more enjoyable. I highly recommend Sushi Star to anyone in the Waterloo Region, and it is absolutely worth the trip for those coming from outside the area as well.

This has to be one of the best spot for sushi in KWC. I liked their location at DT Kitchener as it was more convenient for us. They have a really good AYCE and you can get so many kind of sushi, maki and other stuff and it’s very fresh. We have also tried their platter by ordering through uber and it didn’t disappoint. Hopefully we will go back soon!

The experience was very good. I love what I’ve tried. Am I blown away with the taste?! No, from the price point, I was expecting something special. The same experience with the taste level can be found in other places with 6-10$ less The menu was limited which is great, you won’t be confused, I love that! But many options were deep fried, and for someone who doesn’t eat deep fried, my options were very little.

Wow, what a fantastic experience! I’ve always been a sushi fan, but this time, I had the challenge of introducing three people who’d never tried it before and had a bit of a negative impression because of some food concerns. I’m so happy to say that all three had a wonderful evening, and they were thrilled to try something so different from their own culture. Keep up the amazing work, and we’re definitely planning to come back soon!

Truly Impressive – They Deserve This Review! This is a 100% honest review. I rarely ever leave reviews, but I just had to share my experience because the staff and food here truly deserve the recognition. Every dish we ordered tasted amazing, fresh, flavorful, and the meat was perfectly cooked. The customer service was outstanding. Every staff member was smiling, pleasant, and so helpful throughout our visit. It really made a difference. The menu was easy to navigate, and everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. I was genuinely impressed by the quality and value. My husband and I visited on a Wednesday and went for the all-you-can-eat option we ordered up to 30 dishes, and the total came to just $75. I couldn’t believe how fair the price was for the amount and quality of food we received. It was such an enjoyable experience from start to finish. I’ll definitely be coming back and I’m happy to recommend this place to anyone looking for great sushi and service.
