The other day I went for brunch with my friends for the first time after a recommendation from a good friend, and overall it was a great experience. The food was the highlight though, absolutely delicious. I especially wanted to try their famous pistachio and strawberry pancakes, and they did not disappoint. The coffees were very good too; I had a chai latte and really enjoyed it. The place has a cozy feel, though it can get quite crowded and the tables are fairly close together, which felt a little cramped at times. That said, the quality of the food definitely stood out and made the visit worthwhile.

We went there twice - second time was very busy, so better to book in advance. We tried 2 types of poached eggs from the special menu (the one with pork was my favorite) and 2 types of pancake, (pistachio pancake is a must try) each on a different day. I also liked a lot their chai latte. Also the playlist in the background, the service, the aroma of coffee and pancakes, everything made the experience even better!

Picture this: you’re in Edinburgh and every brunch place ever (it’s the Saturday after Halloween) is full. But then you find a brunch spot in the form of a warm hug. The waitresses here were SO NICE wow (shoutout to them). I felt like I could stay there forever. And the pancakes?? I was practically licking the plate after I was finished, and wanted a time portal in order to eat them again. We spent 2.5 hours here and honestly I might just visit Edinburgh again just for this brunch spot - it was phenomenal.

We came for brunch on a Saturday morning so it was very busy. We booked in advance so had a table so definitely recommend this. The cafe is small and cozy, just note if you have any luggage/prams etc. and this place is ideal for small groups i.e. 4 or less people. It is also quite loud. The food was delicious, we had the light breakfast and avocado toast. We also had the italian hot chocolate which was sweet and decadent. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Just to note that the kitchen is cooking right next to where you are eating so the smell will stick to your clothes... not ideal if this is your first stop of a long day as a tourist.
