Booked a game of bowling on the 15th December ready for Christmas Eve with the family. On arrival we were told the lane was broken and it would be fixed within 5 minutes. Were told to go to the lane and we would be able to start the game when it was fixed. We sat at the lane patiently for 25 minutes before approaching a member of staff. We were told they didn’t have a time it would be fixed and we could either wait or go and receive no refund. Continued to wait a further 25 minutes while people arriving at this time were shown to working lanes despite us patiently waiting for 50 minutes at this point. We decided after nearly an hour we were going to leave and take the children somewhere else. We were told we couldn’t get a refund as we were choosing to leave (after being polite and waiting nearly an hour, despite booking in advance and people arriving after us being able to start there games of bowling on working lanes) in the end we were offered a voucher to return for a game of bowling and told we couldn’t use the voucher in the school holidays or on a Saturday. The whole purpose of the visit was during the school holidays. Utterly disgusted. We were continuously told “it’s not our fault, it’s not our issue, it’s a technical issue.” There was no effort made to keep us updated, numerous staff walked past us and apologised to people on other lanes (bearing in mind their lanes were working and only out of action for a maximum of 3 minutes during our lane being fixed). We frequented this establishment on a regular basis and I’m really disappointed in the service and the outcome. So I paid £40 for 1 game of bowling during the school holidays and can’t even use the voucher on a weekend or school holidays. £40 down, no game of bowling and no refund.
Karaoke birthday party booked for 6pm to 7.30. Asked staff at 6:45 when food would be ready. Told 5 minutes. Asked again after 10 minutes and told again another 5 minutes. By 7:20 with 10 minutes of allotted time remaining I requested to speak to management just as food arrived. He apologised and said we could have the room longer and he'd personally bring the ice creams in at 7:30 and the music would be extended. 7:30 music is turned off and requested it be turned back on. 7:40 still no ice creams and parents waiting to take kids home and no music. Ice creams brought out by a different member of staff at 7:45 and missing one. Request another and never delivered and music was never turned back on. Requested the birthday girls party bag and had to wait another 20 minutes whilst chasing again. absolutely awful experience and would never book again. REVIEW UPDATE: I contacted the customer service email as Tenpin have requested by replying to my review but surprise surprise, I've received no response from the Nantgarw Tenpin almost 4 weeks later!! Shocking customer service
Never waited an hour for a cocktail before. Went up to the bar once after waiting half hour and was told they'd send them over to us. Went up again after waiting another half hour and the girl said the machine had broke and they needed to fix it. I would have been more understanding if they had just told us instead of making us wait so long. When we finally got our drinks they were all ice.
Had a hell of a laugh first time bowling in yrs and none of us had a clue what we was doing. Had to ask the kids in next row to us. If you book online its cheaper and you get a free pizza. Although I dont like pizza it was the scabbiest pizza I.ve ever seen and was told it tastes like cardboard . Don't recommend the pizza looks very thin and topping was sparse.. otherwise was a good time there .
Had a great time bowling with reasonable prices also did lazer tag and the new soft play, there's escape rooms and karaoke but didn't do either this time, will be returning soon, excellent for the kids
