No amount of words can describe the level of frustration I felt dealing with Terminix. It is not an understatement to say they dropped the ball with my account in every way possible. So I apologize for the length of this review, but I want my story heard. A little over a week ago I called Terminix about a free inspection for a potential pest infestation at my workplace. Customer service promptly scheduled a time window between 1-3pm the next day for a technician to come inspect. I waited the entire 2 hours after closing time until the time reached near the end of my window and so I decided to call them again to get a potential ETA (giving the benefit of the doubt that maybe their tech was stuck in traffic/running late). The agent I spoke with found my appointment but apparently there was an error and he stated the reason being that the address I gave was a business address and the scheduled tech only provided service to residences; so no one was coming. The agent apologized and threw me a "these things happen" statement and said he would email the local office and they would contact me back to correct this problem and reschedule me. Following is my list of grievances with the way this was handled: 1. How did they possibly schedule me to a "residence only" tech when I followed the prompts via their own automated system when they say "press 1 for residential, press 2 for business." And when scheduling the appointment, I told them it was a business location and even gave the business name along with the address. 2. After the fact of scheduling me incorrectly, why was I not notified? I can understand if an accident happened and my business was scheduled with the wrong person. But the moment the tech noticed that, shouldn't they have made some effort to contact me to reschedule? Nope. They let me wait and waste my time until the very end. And then I had to contact them to find out what was wrong. Inexcusable. 3. About a week and a half has passed and I still was never contacted for a reschedule. And to be honest, I don't need them to reschedule anymore because I was forced to call another company due to their incompetence. But there you have it: absolutely unprofessional.
