Do not go thinking you find any good deals. You will not. I Looked at a wilson jacket they were asking more than I can buy new. They had a nice pyrex dish and asking 40% more than ebay. This place must be taking a page out of the greed will book. Just sad to see places that get everything donated take advantage of the public. Don't waste your time if you do be prepared to over pay.
Been coming here for years and they used to have incredible prices but now they’ve raised everything. Saw a pair of beat up raggedy cowboy boots for $60. Sweaters and jackets that used to be 10-15 are now 25-30+. Huge selection, and still good prices on kids toys but the clothes are now overpriced. Probably won’t be returning anymore.
It's pretty well organized. I used to shop here about 10 years ago when I lived in the area. It's always had great finds when you're willing to take the time to look. Now, however, there are NO DRESSING ROOMS, as they used to have before. So if you go, be prepared to try on what you can in the aisles. Forget about trying on pants. I did see a sign for restrooms, but didn't go back there. This is an improvement from years before when you had to go to Dollar General or Big Lots (now a Spirit Halloween 🎃) if mother nature called. Oh, and the smell is still the same. It's tolerable, that's all I can say. A little side note: the sign on the building shows "Arms of Hope" with a silhouette of a family holding hands. To me, that implies charity. However, the sign on the door clearly says that it is a "for profit" store, like Goodwill.
I love thrifting and have visited several in the DFW area. This location disappointed me. Pros- The place is big and clean. Staff is nice. Everything is arranged neatly with sizes in order. I found several name brand items. I found a Steve Madden purse. Loved! Prices are reasonable. Here is why I didn’t rate them high. 1. Shopping music is loud and unpleasant 2. There are NO fitting rooms. I don’t purchase any clothing without trying it out. 3. Everything is NON refundable and NON exchangeable. If there are no fitting rooms then we should be allowed to try the clothing at home and be able to return it for an exchange or refund 4. Self checkouts!!
I found this gem through word of mouth—I love a good thrift! This was my first time at this location, and it didn’t fully disappoint. The store is huge and offers a wide range of items if you’re willing to dig a bit. Pricing is slightly high, and the color tag discounts don’t add much value, as it’s almost impossible to find items with tags that are actually on sale. One drawback is no fitting rooms. For true thrifters, you do what you have to, but it’s not ideal when the store is crowded. I’m also not a fan of the self-checkout setup. The point of self-checkout is convenience, but here, employees “assist” by standing at self checkout, taking items from you to scan, only for you to bag them yourself—feels unnecessary. Overall, it was a pleasant shopping experience, despite a few things like the assisted self-checkout. Thanks, Texas Thrift!
