We had the best experience with Thacker Jewelry. Sylvia was knowledgeable and extremely helpful ! My custom ring is PERFECT and the service was amazing. I definitely recommend going to Thacker’s if you are considering purchasing any jewelry! They will take excellent care of you!

A Complete Letdown — Zero Communication, Zero Customer Service, Zero Results My husband has always purchased from Thacker Jewelry, but after this experience, we will no longer be customers. Communication was awful from the beginning—messages went unanswered, updates were promised and never delivered, and I was left constantly wondering what was going on. They confidently committed to a custom design, but months passed with absolutely nothing created. Not a sketch, not a prototype—nothing. The over-promising, paired with a total lack of follow-through, was incredibly unprofessional and disappointing. For a store we’ve supported for years, this was a huge letdown. I would strongly caution anyone considering them for custom work.

Went in dressed in Saturday casual clothes. Our budget was to spend near $5000. Immediately realized we felt out of place. Blonde lady behind the counter looked us up and down. My wife wanted to ask the value of a ring she had, then buy a watch, necklace and earrings. The lady looked at the ring without testing it and said " it's worthless, we don't buy junk" and turned her back. Wife only wanted a value, she wasn't interested in selling it. The lady treated us like hicks, underlings and looked down on us. Went to another jewelry store, they looked and tested the ring and appraised the it at $223. Bought a some nice jewelry $4730. Sorry Thackers, you missed a good sale. We won't be back. Stop profiling people and lose the "better than you" attitude.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ What a gem of a place (literally)! Lubbock hit the jackpot with Thacker. I’m a shop local or bust kind of person, but I still peeked around online and checked a few of the big chain jewelry stores — just to be sure. I was fully prepared to pay more at Thacker for that warm, local experience… but surprise! Their prices were actually better! Teresa Rios was an absolute delight — patient, honest, and fun — and I even got to meet Amanda, part of the Thacker family. From tooth to tail, this place is packed with great people, dazzling sparkles, and genuine Texas hospitality. I’ll definitely be back. 💍✨ Highly recommend!

Let me tell you a little about about the Thacker family. They are the most caring, loving and wonderful people I’ve met. Not only do they honor those that have a special occasion or engagement but they took extra special care of me and my son as we had custom pendants designed and manufactured from my mother’s jewelry that the Thacker’s designed for her several years ago. Sylvia even brought my pendant to me at home so I would have it for the first anniversary of mother’s death. She didn’t have to do that. The sons of Buzz and LaVoe are very special and Sylvia is now nor like family to me. If you ever have the opportunity to have these caring people help you select or design a special piece of jewelry, it will be money well spent. May God bless not only their families but all the families touched by their jewelry.
