Been frequenting here now about a year, I'm a novice reefer, but these guys are all great people, and down to earth! I always get the help I need and their stock is always changing and amazing! I'll always recommend this place for beginners to veterans of the practice!
I am sorry for the low star rating but sometimes the fish are sick without you knowing it. I bought 3 fish for my daughter from them Sunday the 28th. 2 neon tetra & a female Santa Claus guppy. One of the tetra’s died less than 24 hours of having it. I did what they said wait 30 minutes before transferring to tank by placing the bag in the tank for them to get use to the water. About an hour after all the fish were in the tank one of the tetras kept dive bombing the rocks in the tank and they got stuck and died. The next day the other tetra was dead as well. Then today Thursday the 3rd the guppy died. I have no idea if they were already sick or not but I’m sticking to keeping betta fish since I have had most of my bettas for longer then a week if not few months to a year. Sorry don’t have a pic of the neon tetras to show them caught in the rocks. Only have a picture of the guppy dead because I was more shocked she died as well when they didn’t seem sick like the tetras. I have no clue if the others dying made her sick too but I definitely won’t be buying tetras or guppies anymore and sticking to bettas. I have a picture of her betta fish that lived for 6 months that we bought from pets mart or petco can’t remember which one of the two. I will admit this you might want to let customers know they might need to check their water for ammonia we think that is why the betta died cause it was in the water after a water change. I had recorded a video of the fish after I put all in the tank you will notice I changed the plants, I did that after the first tetra died and removed some of the rocks and put a different decor plant for them to have. And I even have a copy of my receipt to prove actual dating. Some of the people giving negative reviews have a point that the fish could have been sold to them already sick so the best suggestion is test the ph levels in front of your customer and tell them to do the same at home to have better luck at having them live longer. My only reason for the bad review is all three died in less than a week and one of them with in the first two hours of being in the tank and the other was died in the morning so about 12- 14 hours after being in the tank and the store is closed on Monday so couldn’t bring in the fish to show what happened. As for the guppy we noticed her dead before bed time and the store was already closed too. So hints the pictures attached. And no I don’t want new fish but if a refund is available that would be awesome if not I understand but I highly suggest telling your customers to test for ammonia in the future to have a less expensive experience then some others with low reviews experienced as well.
I was amazed by this store. The diversity and variety of saltwater/ freshwater fish is awesome. Definitely recommend if you’re looking for uncommon beautiful and antique fish. They basically have it all. A bit pricey as expected, very much so for saltwater fish. The workers know their profession though!
Great Aquarium and fish store! Owner is very friendly and helpful to newbys and great selection of fish, equipment and food to keep you up and running.Staff is knowledgeable and willing to answer questions. I see weekly trips in my future.
Always a great selection, pricing, and a super clean and friendly store. You can tell when business owners have a true passion for what they do as opposed to just wanting a quick buck. I've bought dozens of fish, plants, and coral over the years here and they are all happy healthy specimens. I even find rare fish here I haven't seen in years! And I love that the knowledgeable staff let's you just wander around without trying to upsell stuff!
