Two stars for being very nice people, but their data privacy practices need a thorough evaluation and overhaul. Net-net, they sell your personal data. I have an unlisted cell phone number that I guard zealously and the day after my listing expired (January 1), I received 11 text messages and 6 phone calls from other realtors. When I asked my listing agent, she said that "agents can pay for a system that gives them access to the information." I was taken back because the listing contract refers to a privacy policy and the one located on their website states, "we do not sell, trade, rent, or otherwise disclose your personal information to third parties." They sold my personal data without my consent to every realtor in the state. It's been 29 days and I've logged 48 calls and texts and they are still coming in. I feel it's important to call this out and hold companies responsible for their handling of sensitive customer data. Despite calling them out on this and requesting further privacy policy clarification and material, they have gone radio silent.
