Joe and The Bark Stop are great! He’s very knowledgeable and was very patient with my dog, which made a huge difference. I’ve seen so much improvement in my dog since starting his classes, and the progress has been amazing. He also gave me great tips on how to manage and work with my dog at home. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a great trainer.

We had our first session with Joe today for our nervous/reactive Frenchie. Before we even met, we filled out a very thorough intake form and had a phone call to go over concerns and goals. My dog was immediately nervous when we arrived as she is with any new place. Within minutes, she went from shaking to relaxed, and was listening to commands and playing with Joe. I appreciated his gentle approach and avoidance of any punitive training techniques. Although it was only our first session we got some great tips and advice on how to better handle her and next steps. By the end of the session our dog didn’t want to leave. Highly recommend Joe based on our first visit!

We had an incredible experience with Joe from Bark Stop through his stay-and-train program. From start to finish, Joe kept us involved with daily pictures, videos, and detailed updates about our dog’s progress. The videos weren’t just fun to watch—they were informative and truly educational, helping us learn along the way too. Joe also went above and beyond by taking our dog on real-life outings in the community, including stores, parks, and dog parks, which made a huge difference in building confidence and reliable behavior in everyday situations. Before training, walks were miserable and exhausting. Now, our dog is walking off leash, calm and responsive. Evenings used to be pure chaos in our house, and now he can settle, relax, and actually be part of the family. Joe is patient, knowledgeable, and clearly gifted at what he does. The transformation has been amazing, and we couldn’t be more grateful. Joe is incredible, and I highly recommend him to anyone looking for real, lasting results.

After researching many dog trainers, we chose Joe at The Bark Stop because he shares the same training philosophy and values we wanted for our new pup. Over the course of our time together, we saw meaningful, real-life improvements in basic obedience and commands, but also in our bond, our pup’s confidence, how he behaves in public, and our day-to-day life together. Our dog isn’t “perfect,” but the progress he’s made has been incredible and feels sustainable and kind. The training felt individualized, thoughtful, and practical, and we walked away with tools we can continue using long-term. We went with The Bark Stop for training and their stay-n-train program when we had to leave on a last minute trip and couldn't be happier! Our Golden Retriever Tony was having a few issues when interacting with other large dogs. We reached out to Joe and the Bark Stop and have seen so much improvement in just about a month! Tony now plays happily with big and small dogs and has no problems at all at the park or on walks. We're happy to be part of the bark stop family and will keep bringing Tony by for more training in the future!
