Staff are very helpful and friendly, especially Alexis. Yay! Location is fine for car travel, but not great if you want to go out for a stroll; the freeway is right there and noisy. Not too far away, however, (20-ish min walk) there are some restaurants, including Velvet Taco, which we went to twice. Yum. The hotel restaurant was not great in that the menu was hard to find, and was closed during the day. Amenities in the room were disappointing. No microwave or tea kettle, funky single coffee maker with limited pods and creamers. It got us up and out but was unsatisfactory for making that great cup of coffee. Fortunately the restaurant opened up at 6am and the coffee there was good. The indoor pool was under renovation but I peeked in and saw that, as usual with hotels, the photos on the website made it look much better than it is, i.e. it was small and not for laps. The Christmas decor was very nice.
The hotel itself was fine, but the parking policy is ridiculous. There is no on-site self-parking, and valet costs $43 per night. This is not downtown, self-parking should be easy and plentiful, yet the hotel only offers valet, turning a basic convenience into an expensive and frustrating experience. Even when paying for valet, I ended up standing 30' away from my car waiting for an attendant, which felt like paying someone to waste my time. The hotel should be transparent about this policy before booking—if I had known, I would have chosen a different property. Until the parking policy is fixed or clearly disclosed, I cannot recommend staying here.
I was very weary to stay here due to reviews but gave it a try. It is under remodel so not sure how will look once complete. I will say the rooms are large and very nice. It's unfortunate that Valet is so expensive because there is no self park option. The bartender in the temporary bar space was really nice and made us feel special. Was not thanked for being Titanium Elite at check-in.
We stayed at the Beeman Hotel on New Year’s Eve with our two kids because we wanted to ring in the new year together - enjoy a nice dinner, experience the city, and hopefully watch fireworks downtown. We booked this hotel based on Expedia listings that highlighted a city view room and a rooftop, which heavily influenced our decision. Unfortunately, from check-in onward, the experience did not meet expectations. When we asked about the city view and rooftop, the front desk agent seemed genuinely confused and even said she wasn’t sure why the rooms were listed that way. That was disappointing right out of the gate. The photos online also did not reflect what we walked into. The lobby was extremely small and undergoing construction, with large areas blocked off, which was never disclosed. The pool was closed as well, something our kids were really looking forward to, and again, this wasn’t communicated ahead of time. To make matters worse, we were placed on the first floor. While that alone was disappointing, it became a major issue when the elevator stopped working. Guests had to use the stairs all night, which were right outside our room. The constant foot traffic and noise made it very difficult to rest. While we understand it was New Year’s Eve, that doesn’t negate the impact on our stay. The room itself was clean, but when we arrived, there was a noticeable smell of weed. We notified the front desk and were told housekeeping would be sent, but no one ever came during our stay. Overall, this was a very underwhelming and disappointing experience, especially for a holiday stay meant to be special for our family. Based on our experience, the hotel did not deliver what was advertised, and we would not choose to stay here again.
To start, the rooms AC was not good. They have a "fancy" wooden cover that are clearly restricting air flow quite a bit. Its crazy to me that its 2025 and this hotel still has basic cable and not streaming apps on the rooms TV. Yes, you can connect your phone to the TV to stream but my personal preference is to not connect my devices to public wifi. But the staff was great and very helpful. The food at the bar was really good. And being able to go to Lifetime Fitness while your staying at the hotel was awesome. The fitness center at the hotel was pretty good also.
