We looked around a lot for new Living room furniture …wanting to upgrade despite being in our early 70s…thinking there was no need to become like our grandparents who kept their stuff forever…(or to be fair maybe could not afford the luxury of changes). So - we eventually found Stephen at the Chesterfield Shop…delightful and productive experience that helped Us decide among myriad options. …very good quality furniture at a good price without the hype of “cool” marketing or aggressive (or worse, blase) salesmanship…we highly recommend this place, and Stephen!

Stephen was a great sales person. He didn't put any pressure on us at all and he took great pains to answer are all our questions. The chair is good looking but it was like a new member of the family. I had to get used to it. Stephen helped me with that. Now I love it even though my feet extend beyond the foot rest. That may change over time as the chair gets worked in.

We looked at a number of high end options (Restoration Hardware etc) and were about to refinance our home and sell our first born when we happened upon The Chesterfield Shop. They had exactly what we were looking for with prices that were surprisingly reasonable for the quality. The delivery timeline was reasonable and the fit and finish is outstanding. We've been living with the new sofa for about 6 months now and couldn't be happier. One last thing. It's the strangest thing but... our cat normally likes to shred our furniture to bits. Yet there is something about the particular fabric we chose that she doesn't like. Every once in awhile she motions as if she's going to scratch it and then she goes "NOPE" and leaves it alone. This is not to say their furniture is pet resistant. I know we got lucky. But I thought it worth mentioning.
