Talked to front desk clerk informing them that I have a GPU problem and explained that it could only be a GPU problem because I swapped out the motherboard entirely with the new hardware except for the GPU. They still requested that I leave my entire PC anyways. I don't understand the point of claiming to be a GPU repair shop when there's not a test bench or so-called GPUs. I then came to pick up my setup and was still charged $45 just to be told that my GPU was bad. Technician was a nice guy but please tell the front staff to be more specific when making a work order and to inform if something is unserviceable. I'd absolutely fine with signing a waiver if it came meant removing a stripped screw and taking off the GPU cover to genuinely diagnose it.
I recently had a wonderful experience with a getting a new computer. Thanks to the their knowledge, professionalism, dedication and commitment—two young men, Angel and Rick not only saved me from getting a lousy computer but installed my new computer in outstanding fashion. To whom it may concern: I recently engaged with "The Computer Shop" here in San Antonio, Texas to effort needing hardware and software needs accordingly for an existing HP. Yesterday (8/13/25) the fatal blue screen of death appeared on my laptop. Panic and dread sunk in because we all know what that means. 😩 I called and spoke to Izzy she was friendly, kind and attentive. The technician Ricardo who worked on my laptop informed me of the total loss of my hard drive. Devastating I know but he was sympathetic and presented me with realistic options to move forward. 24 hrs later I got my laptop back with a new ssd containing double the memory than I originally had. The staff as a whole were professional, knowledgeable and incredibly friendly. I definitely recommend them for all your computer repair needs.
I was very much impressed with this shop. The staff there is professional, polite, attentive, and skilled. The service is amazing. They fixed a problem on my laptop that other repair sources wouldn't even look at. What's more, they did it in only a couple of days, and at a very reasonable price. I now have a new go-to place for my computer repair needs!
