Honestly, I had far better expectations from spa of a 5 star hotel and of the calibre of The Star! I went in for a 90 min Erde Balance spa, and while the staff was exceptional throughout, the actual spa experience was average (massage not as firm even after requests, polishing was great). But I can live with that honestly, because that doesn't completely ruin the experience per se. But what truly ticked me was that I didn't feel one bit relaxed (quite the opposite actually) - thanks to a group of women who had come together and constantly chit-chatting and laughing and screaming at the top of their lungs in the Tea Room and the Relaxation Lounge / Nap Lounge - and the spa took zero actions! What is the point if we're going to ruin other people's experience to cater to one large group? Didn't pay a $340 only to come back overstimulated!

If I could leave 0 stars I would. I tried to book in a massage ahead of my stay next week. Firstly you cannot actually book via their website, you need to send an enquiry. Secondly to secure the booking (despite being a guest) they require your credit card details - sure thing, not uncommon, but the kicker is they then want the code sent to you by your bank. You know the code the text message says DO NOT GIVE TO ANYONE INCLUDING BANKS STAFF. This is absolutely ridiculous. Despite the fact we have to handover our entire identity to book an appointment, now they are taking it even further and directly asking us to circumvent the very security measures that are meant to protect us. I will be taking my business elsewhere and booking in at one of the other hotels spas where this nonsense isn’t demanded.

Such an incredible experience at Darling Spa! The back massage was divine, and I even fell asleep during the facial. The therapist was professional, soft-spoken, and so lovely. From the little treats before and after to the beautiful treatment itself—everything was perfect.
