Exceptionally trainers and educators!!! Brooke DeFore, the owner of The Dog School, and her additional trainers, Amanda and Victoria, are true professionals. Our family was easily able to transition our springer spaniels from the training program at The Dog School into our everyday home life. I wish we had known about their puppy program to start their training earlier!!! Best investment we have ever made making our pets a true joy to be around for us and our family and friends.

Such an amazing experience, my expectations were exceeded!! I am so skeptical with dropping my dogs off anywhere. I don’t leave my dogs with just anyone. However, after the first phone call with Brooke I felt my year old chocolate lab, Huey, was in wonderful hands. Huey came back as my same goofy chocolate lab, but with so much more confidence, reduced reactiveness, and 100x more obedient. I am so pleased with everything. She answered every question I had quickly, sent multiple pictures and videos throughout the entire 11 day stay. I didn’t think Huey could learn and change that quickly, but he did. He’s social, we can walk him on a leash without him pulling, he’s not a bully to other dogs, he’s more reliable with his commands, his demeanor is calmer. I am beyond pleased. I can’t recommend Brooke enough!!

Brooke is amazing! She worked with our two labs, Rivers and Aspen. Rivers struggled with leash aggression toward both humans and other dogs, as well as resource guarding, which really impacted our daily lives because we couldn’t trust him. Aspen had selective hearing and often chose not to listen. Brooke took them both in for overnight training camp—Aspen for five days and Rivers for ten. All I can say is wow. I was nervous that, since they are both six years old, they wouldn’t develop new habits. But they did! They’ve gained so much confidence, and we feel so much more confident handling them both at home and in public. Brooke is incredibly in tune with their individual strengths and weaknesses and knew exactly how to build them up. She also sent frequent updates with photos and videos, which I really appreciated. We will absolutely continue to use her and highly recommend her to anyone looking for training support!

I adopted a 2 year old Goldendoodle, Bentley, 6 months ago. He is 70 lbs - my first big dog. He just graduated from The Dog School’s 5-day obedience school. He came back a different dog! He knows all the basic commands and actually follows my instructions now. No more pulling on the leash or lunging towards other people and dogs on our walks. He stays in his place when I direct him to. Brooke and Victoria sent me daily pictures and videos of Bentley’s training and progress. They worked wonders with my big boy. I highly recommend Brooke, Victoria, and The Dog School of New Orleans.

Brooke was wonderful! I have a 4 year old Bullmastiff named Titan and after a week training session with Brooke he returned home a new and improved version of himself. The best part for Titan was he was allowed to socialize with other dogs while he was being boarded and trained at her home. In the past even though he is a gentle giant other places never allowed him to socialize due to his size.
