My wife and I spent two nights at the Gaston, in the Eastham room, and absolutely loved EVERYTHING about it. The home is charming, unique, beautifully decorated, and very welcoming. My wife declared it to be here favorite B&B EVER, and says we're going back once a quarter to enjoy it. The stay was made even better by our interaction with Christine, a kind Scottish lady who helps run the place. Just a delightful stay. Can't wait to come back! Maybe they have a frequent guests program? :)
I had an absolutely wonderful stay! Check-in was quick and effortless, which made arriving so easy and stress-free. The breakfast was excellent with great options and a perfect way to start the day. The host was incredibly kind, welcoming, and attentive..truly made me feel at home. Everything exceeded my expectations! This was a surprise birthday stat for my partner and he was very impressed and normally he’s not lol I will definitely be staying here again and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.
It was so obvious the Gaston was THE choice for our wedding that we didn’t tour a second option. Normally venues are blank canvases that need to be transformed. The Gaston with no accoutrements is already a masterpiece. The idea we could host our closest friends and family among us in the five suites made our wedding weekend an *experience*. For a couple glorious days, it was home. I had been concerned about the complexity of flipping the ceremony to reception since that’s kind of a rare trait for a venue- it happened seamlessly. So spend no energy worrying about that! The venue has gorgeous bistro lighting provided that was the perfect ambiance for after dark. I was also worried about the 10pm cutoff time for sound (5pm ceremony) but when all was said and done, it was the ideal amount of party time! Nothing felt rushed and we were able to wrap on a high note. A special thanks to Dri and Maureene. Dri was gracious with her time and attention every step of the way, highly knowledgeable and so helpful. Maureene made our guests feel welcome and at home, and absolutely spoiled with the Saturday morning breakfast spread. I can’t wait to come back to visit for anniversaries and special occasions. One of the grand old houses that has been thoughtfully restored! We had a lovely stay and were warmly welcomed by the host. No problems checking in or out and we loved their little “speakeasy” bar! What a quirky touch. Our room looked over their beautiful backyard wedding venue. The home was spotless and comfortable, and close enough to visit many unique venues in the area - but far enough to avoid noise and sleep disturbance.
We chose The Gaston for its location to the Cotton Bowl. We’ve stayed here twice while we attended the Tx/OU game.The service is very personable, communication is great and the breakfast is delicious. The room we’ve had each time, The Denzel, is small but clean with fun Texas decor. It has a small balcony overlooking the courtyard. The bathroom lighting was not the best and there is no closet but it is still perfect for a quick getaway.
