I cannot recommend this clinic enough! Our dog, Tater, recently had to undergo teeth removal surgery, and I was naturally a bit nervous. The entire staff was incredibly kind, professional, and patient with all of my questions (I love being able to text with them post procedure with any questions). You can really tell they care about the animals they treat. Tater is recovering well and seems so much happier. Thank you for the amazing quality of care!

Normally, I’d highly recommend this vet office because the doctors and staff are super responsive and nice. However, I did encountered 2 major issues during dental visit and international travel. I’m leaving this negative review hopefully the management can improve. 1st issue: When I took my dog for a dental cleaning/exam, I signed a document specifically instructing the vet to contact me if they noticed any procedures need to be done on the dog (ex: extractions etc). However, they proceeded with extracting 10 teeth without my consent and went over budget. The office kindly charged me for the higher-end of the budget and explained my dog's dental health after the surgery which I did really appreciate. However, this is a major mistake that should not have happened. 2nd issue: Recently I started working with the office on my international travel plan which requires advanced planning and making sure all documents were produced accurately and timely. Typically, USDA needs 3-5 business days to process the health certificate endorsement, and the endorsement needs to be overnight back to me. Without the document, I won't be able to travel. However, knowing my travel date being after thanksgiving, they scheduled me to come in on a Friday before the holidays, which gives USDA only 3 full business days to process the endorsement (assuming people are not taking more time off). I even asked the office whether Friday is too late to get everything ready, and they insisted that it is. Out of precaution, I scheduled an emergency appt with the office on Thursday and it still took them 1 full day to submit the documents to USDA. Now, USDA has 4 business days before thanksgiving to return the document back to me. At this point, there's nothing I can do other than hoping for the best. Throughout the entire process, all the staff were extremely patient with me, but this whole process could have been planned better and it would have been less stressful for everyone involved.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Highly Recommended! Grand Lake Veterinary Hospital has been such a gift for our family. Every time we bring our pets in, the staff treats them with so much kindness and genuine care. The doctors explain everything clearly and never make us feel rushed—they really listen, and it shows. The whole place feels warm, calm, and incredibly professional. It’s rare to find a vet where you trust everyone instantly, but that’s exactly how it feels here. Our pets are always in good hands, and we’re grateful to have such a wonderful team in our neighborhood!

I came in today for the first time as a sitter for my friend’s dog who was suffering from itching and ear issues arising from allergies. As a veterinary professional myself, I wanted to share what a positive experience Barley and I had with Dr. Dunn and the team. They were able to squeeze us in on short notice and were so helpful and accommodating to our needs, and made sure to get Barley on the right track with his conditions. Highly recommend! We need to support amazing, local, independent vet clinics like this one.

This is hands down. The best vet clinic in the Bay area That includes San Francisco Marin and the East Bay I say this because every single employee has been exceptional starting with the front desk. The vet tecs our friendly and genuinely love the animals. The doctors take the time with you. They are super smart and good communicators + genuinely care for the animals. I have had animals all my life and work in rescue. I've taken many animals to various vet clinics in the bay area with animals that were not my own. I've gotten to know many veterinarians, most of which have been very good doctors and so many vet offices. However, I've never gone to a vet office where every single thing is handled responsibly friendly professional. I have been going here for about 8 years. Even though I moved to Marin, I still keep them as my main veterinary clinic.
