Working with Andrew Ulmer to find a home for our family was a remarkably refreshing and gratifying experience. Early in his representation, he met us at various open houses, walking behind us, asking to hear our stream of consciousness and back and forth banter, as he took copious notes. He really wanted to understand what we were looking for, what we valued, and what sort of tradeoffs were ok. With that in mind, each subsequent house visit, resulted in a more focused approach where Andrew could call out what the property offered vis a vis what he had learned about us. He was honest, forth coming and helped temper emotions and steer us towards reality. Once we found the gem, Andrew worked quickly to discern as much information about the property as possible, communicating back to us the accuracy of the situation. He met us for return visits, kept in constant contact, all while maintaining calm and a sense of humor. Due to travel schedules, our decision time was quite compressed. When offers were due, he prepared very quickly. Even with very few comps available, he did an analysis, of what required some creative what if’s, asking us good questions along the way. Additionally, he utilized his people skills to get as much info as possible, in order to give us the best chance. In the end, we presented a strong offer that we felt really good about. Andrew is a good listener (really, not very many people are), open to learning, has a really nice communication style, and is keen to build relationships and understand his clients. He was a true joy to work with.
