I bought at this place one month ago. Followings are the findings. 1. Cost of old SPA removal was not properly estimated in spite of the three photos attached during the process. As a results, I paid additional $250. I am asking reimbursement, no resolution was made. 2. One of the buckles of the SPA cover was missing, 3. Notch position of the sideboard was not installed correctly and very difficult to bring board back. And this ended up with a damage on the supporting wood. Will update on all items when SPA is confirmed with satisfactory service.
I walked into The Hot Tub Store fully expecting a quick, low-stakes chat. I live outside their service area, which I knew going in. So I figured this would allow me to get some basic info without any of the usual sales pressure. Instead, I ended up getting two hours of absolute premium education, guidance, and honesty from Ann. I left wishing she would take my money! Ann is the kind of salesperson you don’t come across anymore. She spent like two hours talking through everything I could think of: models, features, power requirements, deck considerations, crane logistics, new trends in the hot tub market, discount timing, cold plunge options, sanitation methods. The whole time she wasn’t rushing or pushing. She wasn’t trying to steer me toward anything. Of course, when I asked, she suggested what she thought would suit me best (and frankly, she was right, despite my initial skepticism about her suggestion). She was just genuinely helping me think through what would be right for me. From one hot tub lover to another. Ok so what? You probably think I’m writing this because I got some discount or something. Nope. We established at the very beginning of our convo that she couldn’t sell me a hot tub. Store policy: if you’re outside their service area, they won’t sell you something they can’t service. That alone is rare these days. But the fact that Ann still gave me all the time, care, and attention in the world…THAT says everything about her character and The Hot Tub Store’s integrity. Like, I made her talk non-stop for two hours and she seemed more energized at the end of our convo than at the beginning! Also, while I don’t know who was her manager or who the other employees in the store were, they all seemed to have no problem helping answer questions and let Ann and I chat even though I’m pretty sure they knew the whole “we can’t sell to her thing”. By the end of our conversation, I was literally trying to convince HER to sell me a hot tub anyway! Surely the potential for commission on a $20k sale would convince her to bend the rules, right? Wrong! She wouldn’t do it! She stuck to the policy, because she believes in doing things the right way 🤯. I didn’t expect to leave a hot tub store with a renewed sense that people actually still care about integrity 🫠 If you live inside their service area, do yourself a favor and go talk to Ann. Seriously, I’m jealous of you if you have this service-area-privilege. You’d be a fool not to take advantage of it during your hot tub hunt. The Hot Tub Store is lucky to have her, and anyone shopping there will be too. And to the owners of The Hot Tub Store (which I’m told is basically a mom and pop kind of situation): What do we need to do to get SF into your service area? I want in to your exclusive club. I’ll bring my wealthy hot tub friends! Seriously…HMU!
