My daughters wedding was amazing. The Ballroom it self is an eye sore. The tall ceilings. The entrance into the ballroom. The decorations. We had the ceremony and reception in the ballroom. We wanted a classic San Francisco wedding venue that had a sense of history to it, and would cover us for all our service needs. Julia Morgan totally fit the bill! We appreciated our experience working with Kathryn and her team, who communicated with us and our planners to ensure that our wedding reception was everything we had in mind. Beyond the beauty of the venue, the team was highly detail oriented and helped us make choices, from menu to lighting to table settings that worked wonderfully for us. They hit every cue, food service was efficient and timely, and our guests had a wonderful time. We specifically want to call out how amazing the food was, every dish and dessert got rave reviews from our family and guests! The Julia Morgan Ballroom was exquisite. We had an open bar in the lobby, then a sit-down dinner on one of the upper floors. You could see the massive Salesforce tower from one window. Architecture was quintessentially San Francisco. It was an amazing treasure I overlooked in the many walking tours I've done.
The Julia Morgan Ballroom is a quintessential event venue in San Francisco. Located in the heart of downtown in The Merchants Exchange building, this luxurious space is located on the 15th floor. Upon exiting the elevator, you're met with an oversized fireplace in a large foyer-like area. As you make your way to deeper into event space, you'll stumble upon a bar area which opens up to the ballroom itself. The Ballroom is absolutely breathtaking! Extraordinarily high paneled ceilings and a giant fireplace at the end of the space command your attention. This is the type of event space where guest are in awe and makes any event even more special. Weddings, prom, receptions, and fortune 500 fundraisers would be perfect here. It's a wonderful space and I'm eager to return for a future event!
