Rated five stars, would give six if I could! Food as always was incredible, they were also able to cater to Gluten Free (GF) and coeliac diets, as tacos were GF and burritos can be turned into bowls (so GF). The staff were highly diligent in looking after our dietary needs and the atmosphere in the restaurant was very fun and we weren't waiting long with board games to play! Prices were very reasonable and the portions were good sizes. Super easy to get to as is on the 41 bus route heading into town from Sale, and is opposite the bus stop!

First time I visited this place and I can confirm is the nearest experience to a real mexican food. My score for this place: 10 / 10 (Food, service, atmosphere, prices and everything) I just love it!

Lovely evening with AMAZING food and great service from John, he made our experience great by talking us through the menu and making recommendations and overall was a great laugh! The food was actually out of this world and the margaritas were great. We were even able to get a special dessert as they were out of churros and made us a huge plate of deep fried soft tortilla in sugar which was so good. Atmosphere of the place was lovely as well, would definitely come back again and again! Huge thank you to John and the chefs that made the lovely food!

A must-visit family-run Mexican gem in Fallowfield! I am so glad I stumbled upon The Mexican Restaurant and Bar! Located right in Fallowfield, this independent, family run business is an absolute hidden gem for anyone craving authentic food in South Manchester. It’s perfectly positioned—just a short hop from both Chorlton and Didsbury—and well worth the trip. You can really taste the love in the cooking; they use fresh, homemade ingredients and the flavours are incredible. What also impressed me was how inclusive the menu is. It's rare to find such authentic food that also caters perfectly to different dietary needs, with fantastic halal, vegan, and gluten free options clearly available. The vibe is welcoming and the food is top-tier. Highly recommended!

We came last night for a meal (quite a last minute booking- we got lucky, online booking is available through the website, and I would advise booking as there aren't loads of tables it's a very quaint place) we were served by Matthew who was lovely and very attentive. The food was lovely, really fresh and flavourful. The service was fairly speedy (and there were board games available to play while you waited if you wanted) the atmosphere was really nice, cosy but lively, and the decor of the place is colourful and feels very authentic. We have said there's at least a few more visits in this for us while we sample more of the menu, it is 10 minutes away from the city centre by car if you want to use it on your way into Manchester for the night like we did. We're so happy we found this place and felt compelled to review as it was such a lovely experience❤️
