1st visit! Great place! Had a burrito and pancake. Both were delicious! Definitely recommend this place. -2nd visit! Another great meal. Had the breakfast burrito, and pancake. Definitely my favorite so far!
We found this place on Google maps. When we were looking for a place to eat breakfast. We had a somewhat difficult time parking because it was a Saturday in Midtown and was very busy. We had to wait about a half an hour before we were seated and we're immediately served water and menus. We ordered our food from the waitress who did not identify herself but she was very friendly and her service was great. The atmosphere inside was really nice. A lot of artwork from local artists for sale. And the outside Street. There were a few homeless people walking up and down but other than that it's a great place to go eat. They had grits which I really love, but ordered the Chicken and Waffles breakfast which you can see in the pictures. The chicken was flattened which made it easier to cut and eat. Seasoned okay but with the waffles and syrup everything mixed well together The prices are pretty reasonable and we will definitely go back again. I had leftovers and unfortunately left them in the middle compartment of my car and had to throw them away. That's another reason to go back!
Oh how I love morning fork. Every time we have out-of-town visitors we go to “the fork,” as I like to call it. We got there a little after one and were worried they wouldn’t be able to seat us, but they’ve recently changed their hours to stay open Saturday and Sunday until 4 PM. We only had to wait a few minutes before we were seated with a party of four. Someone came to us right away for a drink order and even though there were so many options, we made our decisions quickly and the food was out and ready only moments later. The service at this restaurant is incredible. So many places are rude, but this place has the best in the business. Such a refreshing change from most spots I visit in Sacramento and beyond. When our food came out, it was hot, fresh and absolutely delicious. I ordered the side of fruit and it was top notch quality. I usually order the sweet items, but today I opted for something savory: the corned beef hash. As far as my review of my menu item? Best corned beef hash I’ve ever had! I forgot to take a picture of it. It was so good. Everyone in my party cleaned their plates. My friend ordered the eggs benedict and specified how he wanted his hashbrowns done and they accommodated the request. They have iced coffee options, including lavender, rose, pistachio, vanilla, butter toffee and more. My friend ordered a mimosa which he said was great and the kids just opted for water, but there were so many drink options. There’s something for everyone here. The vibe feels very local and festive and family-friendly (yet also hangover-crowd friendly), and the art on the wall is inspiring, especially the art near the bathrooms. You can’t beat the location and parking is easy on the side streets. If you go on the weekend, you could also visit the farmers market or the vintage clothing goods market, depending on the day. I guarantee if you visit the morning fork, you will be a repeat customer!!!
If you're hungry for breakfast in midtown, you definitely want to give The Morning Fork a try. Their breakfast meals are delicious, attractively served and carefully prepared. Their staff is friendly and efficient and the food comes out quickly. They are so successful that some years ago they opened the wall to the space next door and have been serving breakfast there as well ever since. Give The Morning Fork a try, you won't be disappointed
Food: GREAT flavors. I have to say their Benedict eggs and omelette are fantastic. The hash browns are crispy and flavorful, and their country potato is surprisingly good! (I usually get chunk and unevenly seasoned ones at other places lol). Service: they are very busy but very good at getting each table’s need fulfilled. Ambiance: casual and a bit crowded. A nice brunch place for friends and family catch-up but could be a bit loud to have conversation.
