Transformative Online Training, Truly Beyond Words! We are so grateful for Allegra and her incredible online training program. We took in two stray dogs who were wild, anxious, and completely untrusting. We weren't sure where to begin and it was chaotic for us, until we found her. Through her online courses and virtual sessions, she helped guide us step by step with patience, wisdom, and a technique that honestly goes beyond words. Even though we never met in person, her presence and deep understanding of animal behavior came through in every interaction. With her support, our dogs have started to trust us, calm down, and settle into their new life. The change has been remarkable. It feels like a miracle to see them open up and begin to feel safe and loved. If you're dealing with fearful or reactive dogs, do not hesitate to work with Allegra. Vikki Charlson at Naked Dog has been wonderful with my dogs—and with me. Come to find out that my dogs’ behaviors are mostly due to my own actions-or reactions. At Naked Dog, dogs are rewarded with attention rather than treats. Vikki has worked with me to understand the ‘why’s’ of jumping, leash pulling etc. so that I now have dogs I can actually take to the lake! (A dream of mine!) Also, I can now have friends over without my Aussie jumping on everyone and everything. We appreciate Vikki very much and highly recommend her as a trainer.

I was introduced to two magical training artists known as Allegra and Haley at a puppy introductory class. I was nervous about going even though I had been working with my puppy, but I was so glad that I went! My boxer, Mack had a blast and so did I. It was a small group of (up to date) vaccinated puppies who were close in age and size. We worked on things like basic commands, walking on leash, and introductory play with others. Allegra and Haley have this synthesis that creates a soft, but disciplined demeanor that compliments one another, sprinkled with magical nuggets of individual wisdom and experience. I felt comfortable and started to relax and gain some confidence back. I like that Allegra is tough, but fair. She gives direction well, explains the reasoning behind her corrections, and reminds me to pause and breathe. I like that Haley is warm and assertive, and she took the extra time to help me problem solve after one session. I haven't had the opportunity to spend as much time working with Haley, but as I said before.. Allegra and Haley compliment each other's training and teaching styles so well! They are able to explain ideas from different perspectives, all while personalizing the experience to meet you and your pet's needs. They have created a community of dogs and dog people to ask questions, share ideas, and continued learning. They even have amazing "how to" articles on their website! Mack and I thank you The Naked Dog for the professional, fun, and personalized support. Definitely recommend!

When we first adopted our dog, he wouldn't pay attention to the most basic of commands, and was an impulsive and self-centered guy. Taking him for walks was a stressful experience due to his lack of responsiveness. It was a struggle. After working with Haley and using the Naked Dog system, we learned how to really communicate with him. After our three initial training sessions, we agreed that he could use more training. Haley was kind enough to meet with us for a fourth session, as she recognized his specific needs, which cemented everything for him. Haley was always very responsive by phone, we look forward to continue working with her and The Naked Dog in their off leash class. Highly recommend.

I called Allegra the day after adopting a sweet, but very nervous and not-yet-trained 1 y.o. cattle dog/lab mix, Cora, who would absolutely NOT go to the bathroom outside, no matter how long we spent out there. In a private consultation, Allegra was immediately successful in getting Cora to go potty outside, and helped so much in making me feel more confident in setting boundaries and stepping up as a new dog mom. We had a couple more follow-up sessions that Allegra catered directly to my and Cora's needs--including a breakfast taco party, so we could practice welcoming visitors appropriately! Soon thereafter, Cora joined the hiking pack with Haley, whom she adores. She gets great exercise, socialization, and even some extra training while I'm at work. I've seen a remarkable amount of progress with her, just in the past 6 months! She's now a pro off-leash and has really curbed her boundary-pushing tendencies at home. Allegra and Haley are both super responsive to my questions, and I love seeing pictures of my girl out with the pack. We even ran into some of her doggie friends out with Haley on a weekend, and she was so psyched to see them! Basically, all of this longwinded testimony is to say, I highly recommend The Naked Dog!
