I will start from the good stuff: the collection at the store is very well-curated and some pieces are real gems. I found 100% wool, silk and cashmere clothes that were vintage and you see the quality of clothes they used to make. Another big benefit of the store is how it feels inside, it is quite spacious with lots of change rooms and pleasant to be in. Now to the negatives. Not a big one but still, clothes are sorted by the color and not size which makes it nice to look at but hard to sort through. I found a lot of beautiful things that simply would not fit me. The biggest issue for me is that most of wool and cashmere sweaters and cardigans have holes from moths. I don’t know if this is how they got them, or they have moths in the store (be careful to bring them home with you, cause they can eat stuff you have at home too) but EVERY SINGLE PIECE I was interested in buying had moth holes in them. And I had my eye on 7 different pieces. The prices for clothes that need to be repaired are very high. 39 dollars for something that will cost me to repair is not a fair ask. I think those pieces that require repair need to be much cheaper (15 dollars max) to make it worth the hassle of repair for the buyer. Did not end up purchasing, because I can purchase Uniqlo 60 dollars cashmere that has no holes and was not worn. Left feeling let down.
Had the best shopping experience at The Only on Davie. I fell in love with every single item I picked up. It’s so well priced and the pickers have done a phenomenal job at bringing in beautifully curated vintage and fun items. Also, Roxanna and Wilson made my time at the store so warm, welcoming and they helped me sift through the 100 items I chose with care and diligence. Thank you both so much!
I just scored cashmere, suede skirts and stellar new rain boots. Did all my winter shopping here. You gotta come here and check it out!
Absolutely love The Only Vintage Clothing! The store is incredibly well-organized and clean, making the shopping experience such a pleasure. The way the clothing is displayed by color creates a stunning rainbow effect, which makes browsing even more fun and visually appealing. It’s easy to find what you’re looking for, and everything is in great condition. A must-visit spot for vintage lovers!
EDIT: Visited again today, and the selection was quite different. Lots of good value items, so maybe feedback on pricing was passed on. 5 stars. The atmosphere of this store is great, but its hard to call this a thrift store. The stuff being sold is second hand, but the prices are quite high. A good selection of jeans, shirts, skirts, fleeces and outerwear. Especially appreciate the good selection of fleece and outerwear, but prices are also high. Friendly staff
