My first time here. I got the impression from a review that it was fiction only. Luckily I walked past it on the way to the Hill of Content (also a great bookshop). I could see in the window that it has non-fiction too. One of my favourite bookshop departments was just near the door and, apart from a glance, I didn't get any further. Great shop. Huge variety. If you like books, go here.

Fantastic advice on my chosen book genre with recommendations on what to read based on my preferences. Small bookstores rule and really make a difference with customer service. This one is delightful! I recommend the store AND the book!

• 2H 2025: 4/5. Quaint bookstore on Melbourne’s East End, reminiscent of Shakespeare & Company along the Seine in Paris. It stays open late, which is always a win for travellers like me still adjusting to Australia’s early shop-closing culture (as much as I respect the work-life balance behind it). Despite its small floor area, the selections include both the recognisable and eclectic, and the many little nooks make for great photo ops too. Pellegrini's coffee is just outside, where one could take their book for an afternoon al fresco.

Lovely bookstore! Give such a vintage vibe. The store itself is small but there are so many books. Seem to have good range from a quick look, def worth a visit!

Stunning collection of books and has cozy vibes. It's like travelling back in time through a time machine when we had no social media and could only indulge in books and did I forget to mention the smell of the paper oh my! Simply magical.
