I visited the Phoenician Spa a few times. It has changed for the worst over the years. The spa area was very crowded. I had to wait for a shower, the jacuzzi area which I usually enjoy, was filled with too many loud people. They used to allow a certain amount of people and it kept the ambiance relaxing. The towel disposal area was overflowing with dirty towels and with only 2 staff managing a crowded room, it felt more like a local gym. They need to hire more support. I had the Signature Facial and it felt rushed. The facialist was lovely but with only 50 minutes including the 2-add ons didn't feel like enough time. My hairline was shaved into unfortunately. Pricing was also unclear. The website lists the offerings, but later was confirmed, that the price varies (similar to airline tickets) during peak season. Had I known I would have made a different choice and chosen a hydra facial or one with a deeper impact on the health of my skin. I ended up paying close to $500 with the mandatory 20% gratuity required in advance before you even enter. I'm so disappointed, won't be back.
