I have an antique chair with a cane seat that I use at my desk. I have owned it over 25 years now, but it is quite old and a favorite of mine. The canning was torn and I contacted Restoration Queen to discuss repair options. Since it wasn't critical for me to have it re-canned, we agreed to have a wooden seat inserted instead. Arlene explained how she would approach the restoration, offered me options wherever possible and pointed out a few issues that she may uncover once beginning the project. I am thrilled with the outcome. It still has its antique qualities, but is sturdy and safe now. I enjoyed working with Arlene and highly recommend her skills and attention to every detail. My new--old chair is terrific!

Arlene is amazing, we cannot recommend highly enough! We called to find out if our antique cedar chest that had gone through Hurricane Helene could be restored. She asked for pictures and then set up a time for drop off. She took this family heirloom that I am sure was going to have to be junked and restored it to the most beautiful condition. This will most certainly continue to be passed down in our family for many more generations. Pricing was reasonable and the turn time was better than we could have wanted at two weeks. Amazing lady and work, if you need something restored or refinished definitely give her a call. Look at the before and after pictures and the attention to details that she does. Absolutely stunning quality!

I could not find anyone who was able to take on fixing my old wooden dining chairs. I finally found Arlene and she was super quick to reply when other places never even replied! She was able to give me an estimate right away and took my chairs right in. I was expecting a week but they were finished after 3 days! She does absolutely beautiful work and I couldn’t recommend her more. She really is a restoration queen!

I inherited a 100 year old picture of my paternal grandfather with the original frame (some kind of metal, either aluminum or nickel) and hand blown glass. Arlene was able to restore it and added gilding. It looks outstanding! She also restored a very unusual sewing chest ( my great grandmother was a professional sempstress) and her rocking chair from the late 1800's. The chest had been painted black by my mother to cover up stains. The rocking chair needed repair as well as reupholstering. It had the original fabric and horsehair stuffing! The pieces look like new. I couldn't be more pleased! I highly recommend The Restoration Queen to anyone considering restoring their precious family heirlooms.

When our home flooded in Hurricane Helene, Arlene Antoine, The Restoration Queen, exceeded all expectations in restoring our family heirloom furniture. She’s incredibly skillful with furniture — she even fixed some long-time scars and structural damage in addition to the flood damage. The pieces look better than ever!
