Absolutely do not use this venue for any special occasion. We were offered a floral arrangement ( of fresh flowers) by the bride. We were stopped at the door. We were told we couldn't take the floral arrangements home because they were "rented". I asked the worker, how is it possible to rent fresh flowers? She said it's in the fine print in the contract . I asked what she was going to do with them and she wouldn't answer. Then I asked what would happen if some already took them? And she said with the biggest attitude " They broke the contract and will be charged for them . Has anyone heard of " renting " fresh flowers??? It's not just the flowers. It's was the unwarranted attitude when asked further. Unnecessary and very unprofessional customer service. They need to do better. Very rude to end someone's special night.

Just book it! This place is a central valley GEM! We were incredibly pleased with our wedding at the River Mill. When searching for a venue, the River Mill became the clear cut choice with immaculate grounds, a beautiful reception room, and florals included. The grounds are beautiful and it's easy to see how much care go into their upkeep. The ivy on the side of the building was my favorite and turned out so great in the photos. The reception was held in the Wine Room and so many of my guests complimented how classy and spacious the room was. The florals were included in the venue cost and turned out amazing. We opted to upgrade the florals for the sweetheart table and were so happy! Jeri and Oceana were great partners during the process and made sure I had all the answers I needed. It was easy to plan and the River Mill had everything we needed.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 We had the most incredible wedding day at The River Mill — I would book this venue a thousand times over! The entire property took our breath away with its beauty and attention to detail. The manicured gardens, charming brick buildings, and lush greenery created a picture-perfect setting. The hidden garden spots were especially magical — like a secret oasis for our bride and groom photos. The food was absolutely delicious! Our guests couldn’t stop raving about the meal. And the service? Flawless. The staff at The River Mill made the day run seamlessly from start to finish. They were warm, professional, and genuinely attentive. It’s clear they truly care about making every couple’s day perfect. If you're looking for a venue that blends elegance, charm, and top-tier service — this is it. The River Mill gave us our dream wedding, and we’ll always be grateful! 🤍💍

We had our wedding at the River Mill at the beginning of May and it was amazing! All of our guests had a wonderful time and had positive things to say about our wedding. It's one thing to host an event here but it's another to work with a venue for almost a year building up to the big day. Here's our honest review in working with the River Mill. Pros: 1. Flexible and willing to collaborate. We appreciated River Mill's openness to adjusting certain terms of the agreement to help us realize our vision. They were willing to have conversations and make reasonable accommodations where needed. 2. Generous and understanding. While we fell short of the minimum guest count required by the contract, River Mill showed flexibility by adjusting some of the associated costs. We were grateful they didn’t hold us strictly to the letter of the agreement and worked with us to find a fair solution. 3. Beautiful and spacious venue. The setting was stunning and offered plenty of room for our guests to feel comfortable. Our photos turned out beautifully, and we’re thankful to have had such a picturesque space for our wedding day. 4. Smooth event execution. On the day of the wedding, the coordination team ensured everything ran on schedule and transitions were handled well—from moving ceremony items to setting up the reception space. There were a few small moments where we were asked about details we thought should’ve been handled by the coordinator, but overall, things went smoothly and the event was a great success. Cons: 1. Communication challenges. There were some breakdowns in communication. Not using “Reply All” on emailsmade it harder for us as a couple to stay aligned. Early in the planning process, responses were timely and thorough, but as our date neared, follow-up became slower. We understand they handle a variety of events, but it sometimes felt like our wedding was one of many on their plate, and delayed responses meant we were behind on some deadlines (which we were never penalized for, thankfully). 2. Policy and pricing inconsistencies. The planning documents we received didn’t always match up with what was later communicated. Thankfully, when we raised these issues, the team was generally responsive and willing to make adjustments after some deliberation. 3. Confusing accounting practices. It took some time and effort to fully understand the itemized breakdown—especially around alcohol charges. While we believe everything was calculated in good faith, the structure of the invoice made reconciliation more difficult than expected. There's room for improvement in how the financials are communicated, but ultimately we believed everything was a fair value.

We are absolutely thrilled with how our wedding turned out at The River Mill. The grounds are insanely gorgeous that made for such a romantic backdrop to our special day. The food was delicious, the cake and desserts were outstanding. The flowers and decor turned out exactly how I had envisioned it in my head. Jeri and Joana made the planning process so easy and they made sure our day ran smoothly. We got so many compliments from friends and family about how much fun they had and how much they loved the venue. It was truly a perfect day. I cannot recommend this venue enough!
